Located at the Northwest corner of Culdesac, a beautiful and passionate walkable community in Tempe, Arizona. Cocina Chiwas is a chef driven Mexican Restaurant with delicious food, cocktails and an intoxicating atmosphere.     We went for the Wednesday taco platter (my favorite) and they were no longer on the menu :( we ended up leaving to get tacos elsewhere. Disappointing bring them back!!

    The food is awesome! Our previous visit we sat outside on the patio, however, this visit we chose to sit inside. Our inside booth was right in front of the open-design kitchen, therefore, a lot of staff moving back & forth around us. Perhaps, a little more comfortable outside. Our server took a while to greet us but service was OK after that. Overall, great evening & we will return!

    I love this place. I make the drive from the west valley all the way out to tempe just for the food and experience. I’m from chiwas and I can tell you that the food taste very similar my moms and aunts. I eat here and I feel like I am in chihuahua in my abuelas kitchen. I also love the Sotol and different varieties they have to choose from that are straight out chihuahua. Cocina chiwas never disappoints. 10/10

    Cocina Chiwas continues to offer incredible, seasonal dishes. I appreciate that there’s always a vegetarian dish to enjoy. The bartender has perfected their list of cocktails, which can also be made NA.

    Our first visit, but not our last. Exceptional service, excellent food menu different from the usual TexMex found around town. Cool vibe. Try it!

    Amazing place with delicious food. So glad we finally made it to this restaurant. Although they were short staffed, we still had an amazing service. Food and drinks were absolutely scrumptious. We definitely will be back to try other food options.

    The short rib won the night! It is the best thing in the menu. The chips and cheese are fantastic as well.

    The food was excellent! I highly recommend the tacos de aire, the wood fired quesadilla, and the short-rib!
