Friendly and efficient service. The table was positioned at the perimeter of a covered outdoor area, looking out onto a park. The food was fresh, plentiful and tasty, not too spicy. A relaxed ambience, perfect for lunch on a warm day.

The ONLY thing good was our server Ricky. The bartender upstairs was annoyed. The waitresses upstairs were arguing and one with glasses threw a fit right in front of us. Finally as we sat and ordered food, Ricky was sweet, informative and took our order quickly (as preferred). After 20 mins though, we’re informed they didn’t have any more Cuban sandwiches. Wait what?! Columbia cafe ran out?! We quickly reorder something simple hoping at least are appetizers would come out. But no. 50 mins after sitting we get up and leave. Attempted to pay for the drinks (great lemon drops btw) and bread but the manger comped it. That was appropriate. Gave Ricky a $50 and left. Sorry you had a slammed day, Columbia. But there are events down there ALL THE TIME. Not an excuse.

Enjoyed the food as always the 1905 salad was the best. The restaurant was very busy and our waiter was slammed but he paid attention to us. The staff was very accommodating. Some constructive criticism, a manager was in a heavy conversation with an employee and she was not interested in us standing at the podium. She continued until she was finished and turned away never acknowledging that we were there. The waitress was working to find us a table then the hostess came back and was very pleasant and accommodating.

I have to leave this review. I planned this trip for my anniversary from Orlando to Tampa and chose this restaurant as a destination for a nice weekend lunch getaway. I made reservations and I’m happy i did it was busy and a little of a line probably because a red bull event happening. They sat us upstairs and we got a great table looking over the river walk and bay. So ambience was Good. Nice place unfortunately service not so much and food was mediocre at best. Our server unfortunately was not present just took our order initially after we was on our own from there. She seemed very irritated and looked like she was about to quit at least by her attitude. She never came to check on us to refill our drinks i had to go and ask the manager for the check another one who can care less. We had to ask for another dish because our roast chicken was rubbery and season-less no flavor horrible. Publix chicken would have been a better choice. Good thing they replaced it with another dish that was a bit better and our waitress was juggling like 50 things at once making drinks at the bar taking orders and serving lots of tables. We felt bad for here because she was not giving the right work environment for her to do her job well to provide the best service she could have. I blame the management. I don’t want to be to harsh on the waitress because I realized they were understaffed . But i say that it’s the responsibility of the managing staff to prepare and not treat the customer like a inconvenience.

Great place on Friday and Saturday nights — they have live jazz music from 6pm to 9pm! Very entertaining, but you can still have a conversation with others at your table. Food is great as well. We really liked the Salteado. The Frose frozen cocktail was also very good.
