   Great experience. Food and atmosphere were fantastic. Had a bit of an issues with rude customers at the bar but when were seated at our table the experience was seamless.

   We had high hopes for this restaurant, as the decor is lovely and the hostesses were wonderful. Additionally, the comments seemed positive, which made us want to try it. However, the service was horrible and the food overpriced. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes, with a waitress walking past us multiple times. We had to ask someone else who was helping with water and bussing the tables if they knew who had our table. He took our drink order, finally filled our water glasses and seemed to be a server. However, it was another 10 minutes before our server, Maritza, came to take our order. Although she was pleasant, it seemed as if we were a forgotten table that wasn’t assigned or we came in between shifts. Why the waitress who was taking care of all the other tables around us, did not come over was a mystery. Maritza didn’t come back to check on us and only came back when we finished our meal. She did not acknowledge our anniversary, which had been discussed with the hostess. Our meal consisting of a pasta dish, pizza, a salad, meatballs, two drinks and the 20% tip they tack on, was quite pricey at almost $200.00, considering their portions. Certainly, it would be worth it if the portions and service matched the price. We wondered if seating inside vs outside would make a difference. But, clearly the other server who ignored us was attending to tables so, it seems that there is a lack of teamwork and/or training of the staff. As much as we want to recommend Contessa, we cannot. We gave it 3 stars because the food was tasty and the chef and cooking staff should not suffer for what happens at the server side. It really deserved less.

   Amazing spot and great food. The wild boar ragú pasta was a bit salty. The spicy lobster capellini was amazing. We also tried the octopus agridulce that’s definitely a must you want to try. Parking is a little tough there’s valet but 2 out of the 3 stations said they were full. Ambiance is magnificent and the service was good at first but then our server left and I was waiting for a beer for so long that decided to not have it at the end- it never got to the table The place is beautiful and perfect music volume to have nice conversation.

   I loved the squash carpaccio dish. Very artfully displayed and lovely melange of flavors. Attentive service and classy decor.

    I understand it was Art Basel week, but the service was exceptionally slow. We had to request bread service, which arrived 25 minutes after we were seated—and unfortunately, it was stale. We also had to flag down the server multiple times for drinks and water refills. That said, the food and ambiance were fantastic and definitely worth noting.
