We had a party of 8 including a toddler. The set up was perfect and the service was wonderful. We were able to arrive earlier than planned and they accommodated us right away. Thank you for making our family dining experience such a delight! Food was wonderful as always and we had a variety plus appetizers.

We expected a lot from the new Copper and Sage in Goodyear and it missed the mark. For the high points, the service was outstanding and friendly, the ambiance was inviting, and a the noise level was good. The major low point was that the food we ordered was mostly underwhelming. The Black-eyed pea hummus was very good and a different take on the norm. The fried green tomatoes were overly breaded, so you couldn't even tell that there were tomatoes inside. They either needed some more balsamic drizzle or some kind of sauce to counter the corn meal batter. The side of brussels sprouts were mostly tasteless, undercooked and hard/crunchy throughout the center. The filet mignon was slightly overcooked and lacked seasoning, but was a decent cut of meat. The highlight of the evening was the braised short rib over grits which was cooked perfectly. It was fall-apart tender, had a ton of flavor and was absolutely delicious with the grits. For the price point we expected an experience similar to Cooper's Hawk for the west side diners. There were some parts of the evening that met the mark, but the food was average at best.

Dinner was meh…. The braised short rib was dry, under flavored, lacked seasoning period, bland mashed potatoes with a minimal thin drizzle of red wine reduction that I couldn’t taste. It doesn’t taste as good as the photos look. Ugh…. I was so bummed because I was craving for this type of dish too! The noise level is loud with an open kitchen constantly slamming pans, chatty, and a little chaotic. It was a slow early afternoon too. I suggest sitting outside.

This is my second time eating Brunch at Copper & Sage. The first time was 12/8 @ 12:00 with about 11 neighbors. It was a very delicious meal. Everyone enjoyed their meal plus birthday desserts. This time after church we decided to invite another neighbor and her husband bc it was such a good experience. This time I think the cook was having a really bad day. My food which was the traditional breakfast was bad. My egg was not over easy as requested and the potatoes were cooked very badly. I requested from our server a correction on how my eggs were cooked to boiled eggs. It which was done promptly. My husband had the pork belly tacos. They were very bad. It was a big fat lump of fat. Just as my husband said, “ Lump of fat garbage.” I didn’t complain at the restaurant bc my guest enjoyed their meal which was eggs Benedict and I didn’t want to rain on their parade. Won’t be back for Brunch anytime soon. I will try the Stillery next time.

Our food and service were excellent. But the place is very noisy. The only thing we were unhappy about was the gratuity added to the bill. The server should have told our party of 8 that the gratuity had already been added.

The food was just ok, nothing special. The service was slow and the place was empty at 4 pm.

Our first time at Copper and Sage was delightful. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was the perfect ambience to do so on a Sunday night. We're so excited to watch Goodyear Civic Square build up before our eyes, and the area was bustling with people enjoying the area's Christmas decorations and festivities. We were greeted immediately and the hostesses were very sweet. Our waitress, Alexis, was so nice and very welcoming. Throughout our whole meal she was extra attentive and sweet. We shared a few sides for appetizers, ordered a drink each (the Holy Water for me and a margarita for my husband), and each an entree. The food was DELISH. I got the tagliatelle pasta dish and my husband got the steak frites. Both dishes were superb and so delectable. Sitting outside on the back patio was perfect for a chilly night, as the restaurant has aerial heaters which kept our entire experience warm and comfortable. We were so impressed with this option for Goodyear residents who don't want to drive far for a special night out. We will definitely be back! Thank you, C&S!
