Acclaimed Sicilian Chef Accursio Lota serves up authentic cuisine in a cozy 60's-style Italian trattoria. Voted San Diego's Best Chef five years in a row, and Barilla’s World Pasta Champion, at Cori Trattoria Chef Lota serves up beautifully bold dishes like Agnolotti with Spring Peas and Beef Bone Marrow, and an unbelievably rich Vegan Parmigiana di Melanzane. The menu melds the flavors of Sicily and Italy with the best of fresh, locally-sourced Southern California ingredients, and is matched by a curated wine list and cocktail program that include indigenous, bio-dynamic varietals from all Italy.

The current Spring menu features dishes like Agnolotti with Spring Peas, fava bean, and beef bone marrow, and Cacio e Pepe with sustainably-sourced Petrovich caviar.

    we enjoyed the food, of COURSE! it's award winning. liked the "realistic" portions too. the big issue with two of our older group couldn't manage the noise level. waaaay too loud for them and they weren't happy. just not a place for senior citizens i guess! as loud places are very popular

    Obviously I love the food— the pasta and the tiramisu— but I definitely continue to come back because of how sweet the staff are. My best friend and I come back here every time she visits San Diego (like once a month, lol) and I think we could technically be regulars at this rate. I’m happy to bring my friends by to try their arancini and fritelle, their papardelle is my favorite so far and they have a few changes to the menu with each season so there’s always something new and delicious to try. S/o to Federico, Benjamin and Bridget for always being so kind every time.

    Fantastic job by staff and chefs. Worth every penny. Service was attentive from when we got to the door. Knew our reservation, first and last name, occasion and every detail of our correspondence prior. Ordered a tasting menu that didn't disappoint, allowed us to substitute pastas, which was great. Octopus was tender and smoky. Arancini was just right. Crispy on the outside, not overly cheesy inside. Tomato sauce on meatballs and even kids' pasta was bright, but not too tangy. Seafood spaghettoni was amazing. Beef cheek brasato was tender like you wouldn't believe. Service, timing of the food coming out, perfect. We had our two boys with us, and even they had a great time. Already talking about our next visit. This place is legit.

    Delicious meal, great and friendly service, warm ambiance, everything was exceptional! Cori serves authentic Italian cuisine, the kind of food you eat when you’re in Italy. The arancini are exquisite! The other appetizers we had, the bruschetta and zucca, were also phenomenal! The house made pasta is the best I’ve had outside of Italy. We had the Pappardelle with boar sauce, the Agnolotti, and the Spaghettoni with seafood carbonara -all were exceptional! We will definitely be going back … regularly! Grazie!

    Warm, gracious service and varied menu to suit anyone’s palate. The story of the chef’s journey is felt in the care paid to every aspect of the dining experience. What a gem and worth visiting the North Park neighborhood to see.
