Service was excellent. Food very good. But last night it was super noisy. And overhead lights were flickering providing an unwanted strobe effect.

Perfect visit for our anniversary dinner. Everything we had was delicious. Our server, mike, was incredibly helpful with recommendations & absolutely accurate. He clearly enjoys his job! The crab cakes are astounding & full of actual crab. The short rib Wellington & chocolate caramel torte were also amazing. Drinks delicious. 10/10 recommend!

Disappointed……We come to this restaurant often (family, friends, and with clients), it is a favorite! Our daughter was home for Spring Break and we wanted to take her out for a special dinner and we told her we wanted to show her one of our favorite’s, Cork and Cap. I made reservations well in advance and requested a specific room (room off of the waiting area with big barrel chairs) that we like to sit in and our favorite waitress, Doni. I understood we may not get Doni if she was not in that room the night we requested. Upon arrival, there were multiple tables open in our requested area, however we were being seated elsewhere? I mentioned to the hostess that I had specifically requested a certain room, she said they try to accommodate but were not able to? That did not make sense…we were there and had a reservation with a specific request and there were at least 4 tables open and available in that room. I inquired a 2nd time why if I requested and there were tables open why we could not sit there, and we were told that we would not be done in time for the next reservation. Ok, then sit them in another room. Our meal was good and so was the service. The waitress we requested was in our room, the “grill room”, but again they did not honor my 2nd request either of having her. Needless to say, I was confused and disappointed. The room was so loud with a party of 6-8 next to us talking so loud, laughing, and dropping the “F” bomb…we could barely hear each other without raising our voice, it definitely was a big disappointment b/c I was really looking forward to showing the place off to my daughter! I do not like sitting in the grill room, it is like a cafeteria, not an upscale setting or experience and why I specifically request a certain room. If you are not going to accommodate requests, please do not take them. Allow customers to make other dinner plans. I was frustrated and embarrassed that I talked this restaurant up to my daughter.

First, I’ll start with the service. Mike was the most attentive and kind server I’ve ever had. We were going to see a show and he even gave us tips for parking. I could not stop telling everyone how great he was. He helped me make a decision for my meal when I was stuck, and boy, was it is the right call. I’m a GF eater and that was the best pork chop I have ever tasted. And the crème brûlée… oh my goodness. My grandmother also thoroughly enjoyed her beef Wellington. I live about 1.5 hours away and will for sure make the trip just to eat there again. My first experience was nothing short of amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

Really appreciate this wonderful feedback. Mike is one of the good ones, he's a keeper! Also very glad you enjoyed your meal with your family. We can't wait to have you make the trip back to visit us again. Next time, book a room-this hotel is perfect for overnight stays!
