The food and ambiance were good. The house salad was fresh and had a unique flavor profile, the pork bun appetizer was the best pork belly I’ve had in a long time. Filet mignon was very good tender and flavorful, bone in rib eye was good but I would personally skip it if we come again for something else as it didn’t seem good enough for its cost. Sides we had were Brussels sprouts and asparagus both outstanding sides. We finished with their cheese cake who was the real star of the show! Very smooth and distinctly cheesecake flavor. We shared one, in the future we will get one each. Service was excellent waiter came by as needed and read the vibe of the table well. We are quiet people who prefer not to chat with the waiters too much, he was friendly, kept our drinks filled, gave recommendations when asked and was not pushy about any menu items. Collected plates and replaced silverware quiet and efficiently, really matched how we liked to dine, if you like to chat with servers he would have chatted as needed. The space is small so noise was a little more than I was anticipating, but we could talk without raising our voices so it was fine. Atmosphere was very cozy, the staff wear blue jeans and button ups which matched the vibe. Overall a very pleasant experience. We plan to return in the future.

Great place that is hidden in the heart of downtown Franklin, had a great time with my wife for her birthday dinner. Looking forward to the next time we dine here. Highly recommend.

The New Year’s Eve dinner was very tasty, but also very expensive and the portion sizes were small. I was disappointed in how little food it actually was.

We love the restaurant but the food choices and portion on the price fixed menu was disappointing. From the tiny bowl of soup to the three, quarter sized scallops for $125 was so not worth it. Highly disappointed as we don't treat ourselves often, so quality should be of value and was not.

I get it’s New Years Eve and things are pricier but this was the most expensive dinner we’ve ever had as a family. $650 (+tax) for a party of four, which included only 2 glasses of wine and a mandatory 20% tip. A special menu (I dont think we knew prior to arriving) included 3 courses (appetizer, main and dessert). Portions were very small. I had a cup of lobster bisque, three small scallops and a tart. The food and service were good but not worthy of the prices and portion sizes. There was a $300 cancellation fee so we decided to stay. Our server was friendly. Next year we’ll try something new.

Cork and Cow is one of my wife and my favorite places and will continue to be. It has always been outstanding in terms of the food quality and in terms of service as well. Last night - New Year’s Eve - was an exception. There was a preset menu. Probably our fault but we didn’t realize that when we made the reservation so the menu didn’t include items we would have normally ordered and some of them weren’t very well described on the menu. So, the meal was disappointing and our waitress didn’t really seem to care about our level of satisfaction. Our drinks were very well done. With the preset menu price, two drinks each, and predetermined gratuity added our bill was $400. In terms of our experience it certainly wasn’t a $400 value. But, again, this was an exception to the norm and we will certainly go back on “normal” nights.

It was a cold evening as we entered the restaurant with little signage. It looked as though we were entering an office building of sorts. Two teenage girls at the host stand asked for our name and didn’t bother to ask if we wanted to check our coats. As we sat down we awkwardly just sat on our coats. No still or sparkling bottled water was offered, it was immediate tap. This is a white linen cloth table experience. Which is very old school. The servers seemed overwhelmed on a Saturday night with half the restaurant empty. The 4 top next to us (before we saw our waiter) had a server bring them drinks claw gripping 4 instead of using a tray. Drop 2 drinks off at their table and then 2 drinks off at the table next to them. On the way to the bathroom you catch a glance at the kitchen and the expo/pass was on his cell phone texting which is cross contamination of food items on expo and hard to watch as a high paying consumer. Sitting at a table facing the bar, the bartenders were actively drinking from canteen bottles and cheering on a sports game which took away from our desired quiet dining experience. When returning from the bathroom my napkin was not folded or returned to fine dining standards. We ordered cocktails at first and our wine glasses were not removed. The first course was poached scallops which were delicious with good presentation but a clear lack of citrus and a clear zest of lemon or lime would’ve been perfect. Pork Boa bun was delicious but the immense toppings on top did not fulfill the flavor and took away from the desire of it. The pork buns were sitting next to a bed of raw undressed lettuce. Filling a plate instead of using a smaller plate is the way to go. The New York strip ordered was charred and chewy. Ordered at medium it came out medium well. The chewiness was intense. The filet was okay but clearly no finishing salt was used and we had to pay an extra $5 for the good butter. The olive oil cake for dessert covered in sugar juice ruined it.
