   This is the second Sunday in a row that we’ve gone to the council oak steakhouse, primarily for the prime rib special. Last night it was very good and cooked just perfectly. We were very happy.

   Very nice and consistent dining experience. We shared a boneless rib eye, Brussels sprouts, au gratin potatoes and the wedge. Everything was cooked well. The steak had a nice crust but wasn’t as tender as some steaks I’ve had here previously.

   Excellent service. Callie was so nice. Prime rib dinner was fantastic. So nice to have somewhere close to go for an Excellent meal and service. They made it extra special for our anniversary. Thanks for the dessert.

   The 28 days steak came out good. The Filet Mignon definitely wasn’t worth the $55. It tasted like the meat was glued together and broke down into little piece's. I felt like they took care of people they knew first although we got there half an hour earlier than our neighbor next to us. I know because the staff knew the family. I’ll give it 6.5/10 , honestly i wish it was better experienced for the price.

   Four of us went for the Sunday prime rib special. The food was good, but we all ordered, medium rare prime rib and each one of them came out at least medium or more. While it was still really good, each one was a little overcooked. Also, you literally only get a spoonful or so of mashed potatoes with the meal and three asparagus. I would recommend to them to add some mashed potatoes, as it’s inexpensive and would help balance the meal.

   Food, service and overall dining experience was excellent. Could not have had a better meal. Service was prompt, not at all pushy but there at the appropriate time with wonderful and superbly prepared food. Will be back soon.

   Great food, great service. Is our once a year special dinner and it doesn’t disappoint. Amanda has been our server each time just out of pure luck. She’s fast friendly and personal. Food is amazing and price isn’t bad for being a high end steak house. Great place!

   What a treat. Wonderful dining experience, truly special. We had the Prime Rib Special, which came with sides, salad and dessert. Service perfect.

    Thankfully we were able to make a late reservation for a party of six. The bread basket was plentiful, the Brussel sprouts were savory, I don’t eat pork so I passed on the pork belly, but my company throughly enjoyed them. I ordered the lobster bisque and surf n turf. The lobster bisque was a bit too fishy for my nose and the lobster served a bit overcooked. But the hand cut Filet Mignon was cooked to my perfection! The only issue we encounter was a lack of chicken. 2 people in my party order the Mary’s Half chicken, and both were served just a quarter. One person brought it to our server’s attention about her missing chicken, and she brought the other quarter piece immediately. But, when the other person requested the rest of their chicken, the kitchen remade his whole meal. So, we all had to wait for that to be served. I’m told the shrimp and grits were creamy and very tasty, and the pork chop was big enough to feed a small family. So overall, accounting for a tired kitchen staff, and a late reservation for six people, this dinner a success.
