We have really enjoyed Crave in the past, but this was not a great experience. My wife ordered a salad. When they brought out our entrees, they brought her the wrong salad. I had a hot entree, which I ate so it wouldn’t get cold. My wife got to watch me eat. I returned the favor when her salad finally arrived as I had finished my meal. I ordered the short ribs with gnocchi. The short ribs were much too salty and the cream sauce that covered the gnocchi was piled on way too thick. The dish also had creamed spinach, but the cream sauce was so heavy and over served, that it was hard to tell that there was spinach in the bowel. To the credit of Crave, they did comp my wife’s salad and the service was first rate.

This was our first meal of the day, brunch, so we were understandably hungry. Watching others receive their food, my stomach was growling embarrassingly more. I asked if we could get bread or whatever they offered until the food came out. She said they didn't have anymore. I got up to walk around the block and purchase us some croissants to chew on. Back at the restaurant, I've the food finally arrived, it had absolutely no taste. No seasoning at all. We had to remind the waitress to get our drinks. The Crave location on Charlotte is so much better, all the way down to the menu, drinks, and the aesthetics.

We're regulars here and have always enjoyed the food. Boursin risotto is a good one as is the chicken marsala. The menu is not extensive but it is diverse, well prepared and delicious. The service is always good. It is also a nice place to stop for a drink after attending an event. Crave is one of our favorite stops.
