John did an outstanding job explaining the menu, being attentive and actively engaging with us. Probably the best waiter we’ve ever experienced. Food was amazing. I had the 16 ounce ribeye and my wife tried the 8 ounce bison filet (upon John’s recommendation). Did not disappoint. My only regret was not getting the bison for myself. The ribeye was great, but the bison was even better. Drinks were fabulous. Always love a smokey Old Fashioned. It’s pricey, but well worth what you pay for. This place always stands out. In my opinion, better than any chophouse I’ve been to in Chicago…and it’s right in Joliet!

The ambiance and service were excellent. I ordered the grilled chicken and shrimp with a baked potato. I thought the food was good, but not great. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would go back again.

We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation, and were immediately seated. We started off with the Fisherman’s Grill and the Crab Cakes. Both very good. Entrees were a 30oz Parmesan crusted (upsell) Porterhouse steak and the Caprese Chicken with a double baked potato (upsell). While both were good, neither entree was exceptional or demanding of another visit. From the time we sat down to the time we left was over two hours. Since we were in no rush and just enjoying a night out, it was fine. But considering the restaurant wasn’t at capacity I’m not sure why the pace was so slow for 2 apps and 2 entrees. Also, don’t worry too much about a dress code; a gentleman at an adjoining table showed up wearing a backwards baseball cap that stayed on his head throughout his dinner. It was good, but not good enough for another try.

Bartenders are fantastic. Had an old fashion, I have never had a sphere ice cube before and he smoked the drink. Elevated the whole experience. The grilled pork chop with peaches was outstanding. Everyone in our party had to try it and loved it. I didn't care for the lobster bisque soup, tasted like raisin kanes chicken finger sauce, and the crab cakes were good but room temperature. Overall, it was a good experience.

The food was fantastic! We had a mix of steaks between the 6 of us, and all were cooked to perfection! The tomahawk steak cut like butter, the flavor was on point. Took a bit of time between courses, but was worth the wait. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and so polite.
