   They were short staff and we had to wait while others that came in after us were seen In sections that had staff. I had to request for a waiter or waitress and ended up finding out that our waitress or waiter had already left for the day.

   From the service, to the food, to the drinks, everything was outstanding. I will definitely return when I visit Houston, again. I couldn’t stop talking about it.

   My first few experiences at Cutten were during the week and great. On Sundays the service is inconsistent. I think they adequate staff to accommodate the Sunday/Brunch crowd.

   I went to Cutten Kitchen 2/23/25. We had a reservation at 11am. It was quiet and not many people at the restaurant. It took forever for a waiter to come and take a beverage order. I kept making eye contact with waiters but no one came until one girl finally walked over and asked had we been serviced. The waiter took our order for drinks and that took forever because they only had one bartender. All drinks came after 30-45 minutes but we were still missing one. Then we ordered food after another 45 minutes and we finally got our food except for one meal missing. I came back to Cutten Kitchen 3/2/25, we had a reservation at 1pm. They mentioned the reservation was not ready and it would be a wait. So I sat at tall table by the bar, again it took a while for the waiter to come and service it. We finally placed a drink order after a hour and a food order after another hour. Again the food was cold and one of my guest never received the other appetizer ordered. While there I watched 2 employees walk out of the restaurant saying that the quiet. One of them being a hostess and she was crying. I always try to support black owned businesses but this one ain't it. The food I good but they need to get it together. Hire more people and treat them well. Any restaurant open on a Sunday and serves food, knows that you need all hands on deck for Sunday Funday.

   As usual the food and service was superb. I love the ambiance. We will be back Saturday to celebrate my Mom’s birthday. This restaurant has became one of my husband and I date night spots

   The Mac n cheese was watery , the greens lacked flavor, the catfish was good, the drinks were strong. Ambiance was dope

   Only thing that was hot was the cornbread. It was good. The chicken fried steak was greasy, soggy and not hot. The sides of mashed potatoes and green beans were also barely warm. The meatloaf had a nice sauce on it but again, it was not hot! This is food that comes directly from the kitchen---why can't it be hot? The service was poor. We were handed off to two different staff members abnd neither checked on us unless we had to ask. Won't be back.
