   Love the soundproofing that was put into the restaurant. The booths are very comfortable - maybe too comfortable - guests may never leave! The chicken confit pot pie and crawfish and grits were very good. The mushroom jambalya was tasty but bland. We should have asked for salt or maybe some hot honey or hot sauce to put on it. Loved the deviled eggs and was happy wtih the hot honey brussel sprouts. The oysters were nothing special. Maybe because my guests were all purest and love the taste of a raw oyster. Glad to have another good restaurant choice to go to that is not your typical bar food. Plus, love being able to carry on a conversation and hear and be heard without shouting.

   Food quality below average. Odd that if you want an appetizer they must bring everything out at once. Not starter first, then main. Wine list only has one wine in each variety available by the glass. All the rest are by the bottle.

   We had a 5:45 reservation for nine people including three children. They seated us immediately in the cutest little alcove with a round table. Leanne was our wonderful and personable server with other servers bring food so that we all got our good at the same time. The food was amazing, especially the Brussels sprouts, the Portia’s potstickers and the chicken confit pot pie. We will definitely be going back! Another Colin success!

   I finally got to eat at Cypress, a fantastic new addition to the Steamboat dining scene led by chef Collin Kelley and his amazing team. I was blown away by the incredible remodel of his former restaurant, what a great comeback story! It’s clear Collin poured his heart into every detail—creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere with great design elements to anchor the space. Carl's old horseshoe bar is still very much intact! The food? Absolutely stellar of course. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing fresh ingredients and Southern comfort food stamped with Collin's style. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste is impressive. Top dishes for me so far are the confit chicken pot pie and the pork chop, but I have my eye on several others including Craig's meatloaf. Don't miss the infinity barrel old fashioned to start! Cypress has not only elevated the local dining experience but also created a space where you feel at home. I can’t wait to return and bring more friends to experience it. Highly recommend making a reservation—you’ll want to savor every moment here!

   Cypress is a new entry for Steamboat dining and a very welcome one. Owner Collin Kelley has reimagined the former "Carl's Tavern" space beautifully and the result is a very comfortable restaurant both physically and psychologically. The menu is varied and quite different from most of the other local places and my wife and I already have list of more dishes to sample. As with all of Kelley's places, this one is very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

   We sat at the bar. Russell, our bartendrter, is definitely a big asset to this place. He was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. A true professional. My husband's fired chicken was yummy and my mushroom creole filled with just the right amount of heat. All soo tasty. We will be back. Locals, J & J

   Loved everything about it. classy environment and you can hear everyone at your table talk easily and can’t hear the table next. Food was fun casual and tasty. Service was exceptional

   Great reboot on an old classic food spot! Food was excellent, ambiance great, servers were friendly, efficient and attentive without being overbearing. Wine list was a little limited with only a few reasonably priced bottles—that could be improved. Otherwise a great new dining option in town!!
