Great comfortable atmosphere for groups or individuals, inventive food, menu often shifts with specials and new additions. Best mediterranean dishes! The mezze and fish dishes are always reliably wonderful.

Had a fantastic lunch today at Dagon. literally the best Israeli salad in NYC and possibly Israel too! The schnitzel is fantastic as were the fries. The staff is very nice and did not rush us. I’ll be back!!!

It is bad form to downgrade the Restaurant Week menu posted on one's website. Customers arrive with certain expectations. Replacing a choice of 3 deserts including cheesecake and chocolate parfait with panna cotta or chocolate chip cookies to save money is insulting. Even replacing polenta with harissa with fries on one of the entrees is a blatant downgrade. If they don't want to participate in RW, fine. But don't pull a bait and switch.

Really delicious food in a beautiful setting. Staff is super nice and attentive without hovering. Highly recommend the pull apart bread, bloody Mary’s and shakshuka!

Lamb dish was excellent as usual, but a much smaller portion for a very high supplement.

I was disappointed. I ordered the Restaurant Week Burger. It was too large to even eat. It was unappetizing. When I picked it up, food kept sliding off. I was not crazy about the waiter either and the noise level was not great. I asked to make my fries very well done and dark; they were not as I had ordered them.

We went to try for Restaurant Week based, in part on published RW menu, but they changed the menu. Most "disturbing" was the marked (total) change in desert options. Hummus and Israeli salad very good. Branzino, not originally on RW menu was prepared differently from its description on the regular menu - but was good. Schnitzel and accompanying French fries very bland. For our deserts we reluctantly chose (because of the rose water) the panna cotta which was otherwise good. Service was decent. However, the noise level was unbearable although at times it did quiet down to moderate - I think the lower noise level was related to people actually eating. One point of praise, however, was that I had requested a table in a quiet location and was given one in the upper part of the restaurant which was initially quieter than the first floor. However, immediately after sitting, a large group was seated next to us. An offer was made to move us over one or two tables away, but we declined because the number of people at the adjacent tables was about the same and we could still hear them talking noisily. Credit is due, however, for respecting my request.

My only feedback was that the restaurant was a little packed in. I am used to smaller restaurants living in NYC but the tables were really a little too close together inside. Felt like every 5 mins or so I was having to scout out of a waiter's way. Food was really excellent. We went for restaurant week and the price fix was a great value!
