   We recently visited Dahlia to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a pretty mixed experience. Let’s start with the good: the food itself was excellent. We ordered the anchovy, manchego croquettes, lamb chops, and finished with the crema catalana. Everything was flavorful and well-executed—especially the lamb chops. That said, portion sizes were really small, even by tapas standards. When you’re paying a premium, you hope for either more food or an exceptional experience to go along with it. The crema catalana was just okay—surprising that the sugar was caramelized ahead of time and refrigerated, which took away from the traditional crisp texture you'd expect. Service-wise, it felt like some opportunities were missed. They did place a birthday sign on the table, which was a nice gesture in theory, but that was the extent of the celebration. No special touch or acknowledgment otherwise, which would’ve made the occasion feel a bit more special. Also, the beer I ordered was out of stock, and instead of letting me know, they tried to swap it out without saying anything, which rubbed me the wrong way. I wouldn’t have minded the change—I just appreciate being told. All that said, I’d go back for the food alone. But for a place like this, I expect service to match the quality of the kitchen. Hopefully just an off night.

   Glad I finally made it to Dahlia! Food was great and service impeccable (great team work!). Also a very cute a cozy space. Reservations are recommended as they seem to be busy most days.

   Went there for an early Sunday evening of light fare and cocktails. We were very happy to see Agua de Valencia on the menu and told our server we were particular about the drink having just been in Valencia, Spain. The drink was sweeter than we hoped and when asked if it was too sweet, they compensated with adding more of the sparkling wine---which substantially improved it. The fact that they cared and were concerned with our opinion speaks volumes on what a lovely place this is. IN addition, our charcuterie plate was divine, as were the roasted peppers (a special for the evening). Not sure about parking (which could be an issue) since we got a Lyft knowing we would be trying some cocktails. :) Hope to return.

   This little restaurant has great tapas, something that is very hard to find in Phoenix. We shared the pan con tomato, asparagus salad, shrimp, lamb chops and bacon wrapped dates. It was too much food for 2 people so we took some home, but it was hard not to order even more as it is so good.

    This is a favorite of ours. Love the tapas and flavorful food. Everything we have ever ordered has been so good. Highly recommend the dates and the tomahawk steak!
