Midwest Italian restaurant focusing on house made pastas, utilizing vegetables from Chef Joe Frillman’s family farm.

Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.

Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays.
Our cafe operates from 7:00am - 3:00pm every day.
Lunch is available from 11:00am - 2:00pm every day.
We do not take lunch or cafe reservations, it is first come first served.

Please note that there will be a 25% service charge applied to all bills. This goes to pay our staff equitably as well as provide health and other benefits not typically offered in restaurants.

Much of the produce at this Italian-by-way-of-the-Midwest restaurant comes from chef Joe Frillman's brother's farm outside Chicago. My first time dining at Daisies and wanted to belatedly celebrate my birthday with friends. From the beginning the food, service, and overall vibes were amazing! Our server Alberto also made my bday extra special. Loved the fritto misto, gooey butter cake, and the truffle ravioli. Will definitely be dining again when I'm back in town!

Not Worth the Hype We visited this restaurant expecting a showcase of Chicago’s renowned food scene, but it didn’t live up to the reputation. The food was just okay—nothing memorable or worth the premium pricing. What stood out (for the wrong reasons) was the service. One of our friends fell ill last minute and couldn’t join, leaving us as a party of four, including one child. Despite this being a minor adjustment, the staff made us feel as though we were a major inconvenience. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere right from the start. To make matters worse, we dined at 5:45 PM, and the restaurant was half-empty during our entire visit. There was no reason for the hostility or rigidity. Overall, this place felt overrated and lacked the warmth and quality that defines Chicago’s incredible dining scene. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Everything was exceptional except for the browned butter farfalle dish which tasted like burnt meat or the pan the butter was cooked on. Was unpleasant but the server took it off our bill which was nice of him.

The menu was unique with a great mixture of adventurous dishes balanced with a few crowd pleasing staples. We were celebrating a birthday and the restaurant staff went above and beyond to make it a special night. The service was fantastic and the food delicious! I will definitely be bringing visitors here in the future.

First of all I thought the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming! We were celebrating our anniversary and they made it feel special. The rigatoni really stood out and will be a must order for us in the future - it had the perfect level of spice and warmth in flavor. The chips and dip were a fun appetizer to start with and were priced perfectly. We’ll definitely be back!
