Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Daniel's Broiler in Downtown Seattle offers a memorable dining experience with "top-notch service" and "fantastic food." The ambiance is elegant, perfect for special occasions. While the steaks and seafood are "delicious," some find the prices high and a 20% service charge surprising. Overall, a great spot for a "celebratory dinner."

My son and I went here on Christmas Eve night to celebrate my upcoming birthday on Christmas day. Micheal was our sever, and he was attentive from the moment we sat down. In fact, the entire staff was! The moment we walked in and said we had a reservation, we were treated special. The atmosphere was amazing. The found was outstanding. I recommend the ribeye cooked to perfection "blue" as I like it. The sauce for the barbecue prawns was so good! I had to request more bread for my son to clean the bowl. It was that good! He had no complaints about his king salmon. One of the gentlemen there saw that my son was wearing cream and white, and he came to tell my son to be careful with the sauce because it stains. Low and behold, my son had a spot on his shift, so the gentlemen immediately returned with soda water, and the spot came right out. He wanted to help my son because he said he ruined one of his shirts due to the sauce staining it. I will be back when I'm in town. I highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you to all the staff for a great evening!

In comparison to the other locations, this one feels much more corporate cafeteria-esque. But that makes sense given that I’m sure a lot of their business is conventions and expense account folks. The service was perfect. No notes there! My steak was overcooked, but not by a horrible amount. The Brussels sprouts were great. Nice wine list. Next time we go though, it will be to a different location with a more intimate, steakhouse-y feel. All in all, a solid addition to the chain.

We had a party of 5 to celebrate Christmas Eve. From the moment we were greeted & seated everyone was very welcoming. We had a bottle of Malbec wine, it was sweet & good. We ordered appetizers, peeled Dungeness crab legs, seared ahi tuna, & each a cup of clam chowder. It was very tasty. Four of us ordered the steaks, ribeye & Delmonico with peppercorn brandy sauce & one Kurobuta pork rib chop, one medium rare, the rest medium, with garlic mash potatoes, & two additional sides, crispy Brussels sprouts jumbo steamed asparagus. Everything was so delicious & flavorful. We then had dessert, one cheesecake with fresh berries, deep dish chocolate chip cookie made to order & a raspberry sorbet. It was so good. Mike our waiter & waitstaff were fantastic, very attentive throughout our meal. Over all we were extremely happy with our meals & service. We do recommend Daniel’s Broiler in Seattle downtown.

We love Daniel’s. We typically frequent the Bellevue location we honestly didn’t even know the downtown Seattle location existed. We are also not frequent review people but we found it relevant to share for the sake of helping the staff and the restaurant succeed. The below feedback is in no particular order O Server was not aware of how to understand an actual gluten allergy and almost made me sick with her advice to order something that was cross contaminated with gluten in the fryer. Plates were cleared while a member of our dinner party was not finished. Making her feel as though she should speed up her eating. Silverware was not replaced after apps and salads when all forks were taken before steaks arrived. We ordered the house red wine and we were up sold double the wine glass price without any awareness to what we were saying yes to. Knowing how Daniel’s pays their employees we felt as though we were in a sales environment vs a fine dining experience. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

The steak was superb and done superbly, best rib-eye steak I've had in years!! I asked the chef to slice the 16 oz. steak, with no bone attached, k into to piece into, 1/3 and 2/3 sections for my wife and I to both enjoy, that's how good it was!!. The chef refused to cut the steak as I requested, insisting that he would only cut it in half. I got the steak and cut it myself!! No big problem, but totally unnecessary

Perhaps some of the best steak I’ve ever had, and the cocktails are sublime. Normally it would be 5-star service, however our server seemed to be having an “off” night.

From the terrible greeting from the reception to the incredibly slow service throughout the meal to completely forgetting we were there to celebrate a birthday it was an atypical experience we've come to expect from Daniel's Broiler.

We had allotted 2.5hrs for dinner allowing time to get to our 8pm show that included a VIP experience that the 4 of us were excited about but our service was SOOO slow that we didn't make it in time. The Paramount is around the corner and thought this was plenty of time but the lag time to order and deliver food was horrible. On top of that, we were charged 20% of the total. This should've been based on performance. We usually do more but I was very put off by that especially since the service was insanely slow.

Love Daniel’s Broiler but not this location. Bellevue location is much better. Having said that, our waitress and manager were very friendly and accommodating.
