Surprisingly quiet & comfortable considering how small the place is. Maybe b/c we got a corner table for 4 at the end of the restaurant. Great visit with long time friends with good service and food.

A cool, fancy, little “hole in the wall” restaurant with great ambience, wonderful service, and punchy flavours. The food was great, very creative and very well-seasoned with bold and interesting flavour profiles. We sat at the bar and our server Jess was knowledgeable and friendly, helping us with some suggestions for dishes and attentive to our drinks and each of our “first bites” to ensure we were happy. One of the best carpaccios we have had in the city so far, the linguine is a must, sablefish was cooked perfectly, and the anchovy toast was an umami flavour bomb (don’t be scared of this one- GET IT)! We also tried the croquette, and fennel salad which were both also very punchy and creative. Would highly recommend Darling if you like bold, creative dishes with a contemporary Canadian framework.

the maple braised pork belly for brunch might be the best thing i’ve ever tasted in my life. i can eat this for the rest of my life.

First time @ Darling. I don’t think it’s gonna be the last. Concise menu and wine list. Food was excellently made. I’m glad I went and experienced it with a friend. It’s a smaller room, which is nice a good bar area. Clean washrooms. My server, Adam was quite friendly too and engaging.

Darling is fairly new to Edmonton and they have the cutest room and all natural wines. We came for the $2 dollar oysters on Tuesday and they did not disappoint. Must try: sourdough bread, cabbage salad, steak and croquettes! Brunch is always amazing as well!

We had a party of four, had cocktails, wine recommendations from the waitress and the food was delicious. I would definitely go back.

Very disappointed. The venue is aesthetically pleasing, but the food was awful. Eggs Benedict with strip bacon is an abomination. Food came out cold, yet simultaneously burnt. Server was friendly but very slow service. Will not be back.
