   We’d been wanting to try this spot for a long time and it did not disappoint. Food and service was fantastic. The room was a little tight but it’s a small-ish space. Definitely would come back

   So Delicious! After talking about our preferences with our server, she recommended the vegetarian sampler and the flax seed wat. We added the tomato salad as a refreshing counterpoint. What an incredible meal! Each dish was well seasoned with bright and unique flavors. The flax seed wat (telba) had a spicy smokiness and depth of flavor that is hard to describe but married well with the other entrées. The cocktails were yummy. The service was attentive and unintrusive. I hope we get to come back again next time we visit DC.

   Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and excellent support from the wait staff. I took our family out to dinner for my wife's birthday with our two daughters, ages 2 and 17. The staff had the high chair ready when we arrived, per the instructions I left when I made the reservation. One member of the wait staff was exceptionally helpful to us, bringing crayons for our daughter and making helpful recommendations on food choices for her. The apex of the evening was four members of the wait staff singing happy birthday and bringing a dessert complete with a lit candle. The staff were authentically Ethiopian and so was the food and the atmosphere. Grateful to have such a great experience. We will be back.
