The cuisine is fresh, creative and bold, with flavors reminiscent of old-world Italy. A rich authentic menu pairs with our extensive wine list features wines from across the globe. In addition to the seasonal menu Dattilo also offers nightly dining specials and themed dinners. Each Sunday we end the weekend with one of the finest Brunches in Connecticut featuring carving, pasta, crepe, and omelet stations. Lovely brunch. Might eat outside next time. Service was average—had to ask for refills,etc. mimosas were not served until after 10:00 am. Lots of selection especially for the lunch part of brunch. Shrimp were plentiful and medium large. Carving station had nice roast beef and turkey. Pasta station I didn’t even experience. Deserts were limited. Pastry was limited. Nice price for everything.

The food was excellent, as was the service. Of course, the water views were delightful on a sunny summer evening. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The outdoor patio was energetic with guests dancing to live music. We could see the action outside and were happy with the quiet formal dining room inside, which allowed for relaxed conversation.

Went for daughter’s 25th birthday. 4 of the eight meals were ok (salmon, steak, another fish dish). Four of the party ordered the gnocchi, it was inedible. All four were sent back . We told the waiter it was bad and to inform the chef it was bad. We were told “thank you”?? We were also told that the kitchen was busy because of the weather (rain storm) and we couldn’t adapt any items on the menu (for example not wanting oranges in the gnocchi ). Over $700 was paid for the evening and it was a disappointment. The wait staff were ok but not great. The gratuity was automatically added because of the size of the party (usually we are good with this but not with this particular situation. We have been to this restaurant on many other occasions and the food had been good and the wait staff great. Hopefully it was a one off bad night. We just will not go back for a while. Hopefully everyone else has a better experience.

While the food was good, the portion size was small. I was actually very surprised at the piece of cod that was part of my dinner.

We had a 9:00 AM reservation for the Sunday brunch buffet which is the earliest available. We booked it early so we could get in and out before check-out at 11:00 without rushing. When we arrived, they were just finishing setting up so all the food was fresh. We had our choice of seating so we sat inside at a window table overlooking the ocean. It was lovely. The choices were amazing and we could easily have gone up multiple times but time and limited stomach space held us in check. The coffee was incredible, and I'm fussy on this point. If it were later in the day, I would have partaken of the carving stations and hot entre selections. As it was, I concentrated on the omelet station and crepe station, then went back to sample the dessert table. Wish I had room for the Belgian waffles. Even though the price is $50 per adult, it's worth it if you love brunch buffets and want to spend a leisurely time of it. Just the visual presentations of all these lovely choices is priceless. I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate returning.

Beautiful spot . Food was ok - we were disappointed, Ie - Cod was over done & tough , although the risotto was excellent. Salads , apps were fine , but for the prices , Again was disappointing. Waiters were attentive, but when they bring you a “ bartenders mistake “ to drink , should not charge you for it as they did .

The host and our server were most accommodating, especially the waiter, Teddy. The food at Water's Edge is always good, but it seemed even better this time than last. I had salmon and the tomato and mozzarella salad. We enjoyed sitting by the window for the spectacular view of Long Island Sound. The guitarist was excellent. It was a little difficult to carry on a conversation at times due to an older party of 4 speaking rather loudly who sat down after us but overall it was a very enjoyable evening and a good value for timeshare owners. We look forward to coming back again soon with other guests.
