Dublin's most famous pub, certainly in a literary sense, with its Joycean associations. Always classy and fashionable. It's the original Dublin gastropub at over 100 years old.
Anybody who is familiar with Dublin pub food will be aware of Davy Byrne’s food reputation, in which seafood is the speciality.
If you visit the premises at lunchtime and evening time, you will witness the huge trade which is done in fresh Seafood, Wagyu Burgers and pub classics like Fish & Chips. There is also a full range of Salads and Sandwiches to compliment these and, as often as not, you can enjoy Oysters and Guinness.
The classic Gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of Burgundy as mentioned in Ulysses is available every day.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate strollers/buggies indoors at Davy Byrnes but subject to availability, we can at our outside terraced area. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Having visited here on a number of occasions I took friends for a late Sunday lunch. I was delighted that they loved it so much and will return. The ambience is delightful, cozy on a wet afternoon. The stand out for me has always been the staff and the service they consistently deliver. A pleasure to meet Billy the owner as we left.

Our first visit to this lovely restaurant. The Guinness and steak pie with sautéed spinach was absolutely fabulous. So tasty and well presented including being hot! Hate cold food. We had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc plus water. The service was courteous and attentive. We got chatting to a couple who lived locally and they suggested drinks at Cafe en Seine. What a find, great atmosphere and good prices for the drinks. We loved Dublin. X

Amazing birthday dinner at Davy Byrnes. Atmosphere was perfect, food amazing and the staff attentive. We were also surprised with a Happy Birthday brownie on the house which was a lovely touch. Thank you for a perfect meal in Dublin
