   Used to love this place. It’s not as warm and welcoming as it used to be. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Saving grace is the live music.

   Worth the visit, choose between indoor restaurant seating with views over main street or cute beer garden style, live acoustic music, good burgers and chips and friendly service.

   Extremely short staffed and the two ladies did an amazing job. In addition there was no beer or other o tap. My salad was disappointing but my grandchildren had amazing meals and my partner enjoyed his salad. Thank you

   Good food, but a bit overpriced for what it was. Was told iced coffee came with cream and icecream, came with neither, was annoyed that we had to get up to complain about this - very hot day (late winter heatwave), asked if there was any way to be moved inside for my table of 5 (including an infant), was told no despite every table upstairs in the air-conditioning being empty. Servers were blunt/rude and rushed the drinks ordering price, and was disgruntled when they came back with the drinks asking about food orders, and I'd said I'd already ordered via the QR Code which for whatever reason made what little smile they had on their face fall off. Also had my sister with her 1yo (the aforementioned infant) on her lap prior to food being out, to keep him occupied - a staff member rudely asked her "Are you even going to use the high chair?", to which my sister replied "Yes, when our food comes", and the staff member huffed and stomped off. All in all, not that pleasant an experience - only rated it three stars due to the food being genuinely tasty.

   I had the spicy chicken burger , Larrys pale ale, loaded fries. All were excellent and delivered with a smile

   Staff were lovely, fantastic place for the area too. Lovely outdoor area. Chips were the best we have had anywhere! We did ask for a small chips but never received them so had to share with the kids. Peri peri burger was okay the peri peri sauce is more on the sour side so wasn't too pleasant personally. I wish they had more to offer on the menu on a Friday night. Overall 4/5, definitely will come back.

    We are frequently flyers of the Sugar mill and for the most time, we have a great meal and a nice night. I love that there is live music most weeks and that unless it's super busy, service is usually pretty quick. The ONLY negative (if you want to call it that) would be too much sauce on everything haha! I'm not a fan but understand others are. The nudey rudey option for the "bun" on your burger menu is fantastic! So handy for someone who gets too full on the bread alone. I enjoy that the menu seems to be frequently updated with new food ideas to try but I would maybe expand your beer choices :) If you haven't tried it yet, book a table and give it a go :)
