Our wine menu was awarded the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator in 2022, and we were voted locally as the best Fine Dining, Steak, Seafood, and more in Akron, Ohio. We had an amazing experience at Dean Martin's Lanning's for our annual end-of-year dinner with friends! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional – greeted with a smile, coats checked, and doors opened for us. The beet appetizer was absolutely delicious, and the Wagyu pastrami was described as a "religious experience" by some at our table. My husband and I shared the ribeye, which was cooked to perfection, and the scampi was fantastic. The lobster mac and cheese was also a hit, and the mashed potatoes were just like homemade – and trust me, I make the best mashed potatoes! The butter cake was the perfect way to end the meal, and our service was top-notch. We never felt rushed, allowing us to enjoy our time chatting with friends. As people who enjoy cooking at home, it’s rare that we find a meal that we think we can't recreate, but Dean Martin's Lanning's truly impressed us. It was such a refreshing experience to find a place that takes pride in delivering a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience last evening in the lounge/bar area. Service was outstanding, the servers were polite, friendly and were timely with any of our needs. The food was outstanding, sea bass, steaks excellent. Thank you for still serving warm rolls as so many restaurants no longer do. We also enjoyed the singer, excellent choice of music and not too loud as we could still easily converse. The ambience is perfect and gives one the feeling of stepping back in time but still all new and modern. We will definitely be back soon, thank you for a delightful evening.

The ambience from entering the restaurant, to the seating beside the river with the chandeliers, the decor, the table settings placed my date in an aw stricken state the rest of the evening. The service, the information, the recommendations from Tommy were above any waite staff ever. From the receptionist, bar staff, Tommy our waiter and all, the experience was nothing but top class. The food was beyond anyone's palette, the portions were a plenty. Highly recommend Lanning's for that special night out! That celebratory reward ! This a a 5 star, class A establishment right here in our backyard that you only hear about, read about in other cities, states or countries. Outstanding !

We had the most amazing dinner experience here tonight. Everything was above and beyond expectations. The ambiance, service, food and drinks were all superb. Everyone in our party agreed and we can’t wait to come back again. Well done!!!

The steak was cooked just perfect. Our waitress was very good. Professional And so friendly. Her helper kept us full of water and with bread. It was a great experience. We will consider coming again.

Dean Martin is the consummate host . The service is exceptional and the dinner was delicious. Very enjoyable and relaxing evening - we did not feel rushed to order as we enjoyed our cocktails. Definitely will be back .

Back in the day, Lannings was the place to go. It went through a bit of a transition. But now it is back better than ever before. Last evening. I had the oysters Rockefeller. They were large and delicious. I could’ve eaten a whole meal of just that. I also had a strip steak that was outstanding. It ate like a fillet. So tender and flavorful.

Lannings is the bomb (and you know what I mean as this is a PG rating). From the food, service, ambience, to live music. This place slays. Welcoming and characteristic of childhood class. It doesn’t get better than this in the Akron/Cleveland area. We’ve had sea, land, and much more and it all serves. The main dinning misses it out on live music so don’t hesitate to take a bar area table to seat. On top of all of this, the staff is wonderful and always great to chat with. :-)
