The weather was quite chilly, and I didn't have high expectations for this place; however, I was pleasantly surprised. Since I’m doing Dry January, I didn’t get to try the cocktail menu, which looked great. We had reservations at 5:45 PM and a show to attend at 7:30 PM, yet we still had plenty of time to enjoy dessert and coffee. I would love to visit again during warm weather, as they have an outdoor patio with small tables that would be lovely on a warm evening. While many have said it was pricey, I found the prices fair by today’s standards, especially considering the convenience of being attached to the theater. I had a pasta dish that was quite rich and the sauce was a bit too thick but my husband had the redfish entree and said it was delicious. I also had the poached pear salad and was surprised it was much larger than I anticipated, since it was ordered as a side I could not finish.

Our first visit to this venue, and I must say it was SPECTACULAR! I enjoyed a poached pear salad with toasted walnuts and blue cheese crumbles; and a bowl of Italian sausage with roasted onions, fennel, and garlic. OMG, it was SO GOOD!

The service was great, but, when I asked for the check, instead of handing me the card machine so I could look it over and pay, our server went through every item and announced the total. Not everyone wants the table to know the total cost so I don’t think that’s a good practice. Also, the 10 ounce strip steak was cooked perfectly but about 4 ounces of it was the fat on the outside. It is a nice place to drink and / or eat before a show though.

Read a lot of bad stuff on the service but the staff was great for us. Very attentive. The food was okay but the big draw is that the location being inside the theater. The most delicious was the artichoke and spinach dip. The prime rib and trout were good but nothing special for the price.

I love going to Diane American Grill! The food and service is exceptional. My husband is in a wheelchair and they (Carmen) assisted us throughout the show as well as inning back to the theater and taking us to our seats. It was awesome. We ate season ticket holders and dine there every show. They never disappoint!

We dined here prior to seeing Frozen. The ambiance was nice and generally well-maintained, though the booth had some crumbs and food scraps, which we chalked up to the holiday rush. The service was quick but transactional, likely due to there being only three servers for the entire space. While our server was friendly, they only had time for the basics: taking our drink and food orders, doing a quick quality check, and dropping off the check. We were slightly disappointed that after asking for a box for one of our dishes, they never brought it back after clearing our plates. The food quality varied by dish. The vegetarian option was overcooked and lacked cohesion, featuring a mix of squash, tofu, and quinoa. The beef Bolognese was decent but unremarkable. However, the prime rib was the highlight of the night, with an excellent au jus accompanying it. Overall, this is a safe choice for a pre-show meal at the Hobby Center, but there are better options in the area for the price.

Our experience was consistent with many other reviewers. The staff gives the impression this is their first day on the job with no training. The food was ok but not great. The best things about this place are the decor and ambiance, and the location adjacent to the theater. Management takes advantage of that by acting like the monopoly that they effectively have. It is an absolute shame that management is so brazenly arrogant. Some examples. I ordered a beer, not even a draft, and they didn't bring it until the end of the meal. He brought the wrong beer even though I had clearly told the waitress I wanted the Elissa IPA multiple times. I stopped him just before he opened it because he had already messed up earlier so I figured I'd save him from having to give me a free beer and get me the right one. My wife's cocktail took almost as long. Meanwhile, my 84 year old mother in law ordered a glass of wine, and they brought a bottle out. I stopped him before he opened it and clearly told him we only ordered one glass. He acknowledged that and said the rest was on the house, and poured us multiple glasses. Every person in our party heard this conversation clearly. There was no misunderstanding. Note that he took the rest of the bottle away. Later, lo and behold, they changed us for a whole bottle. I explained to the waitress what had happened. She was flustered, left, and came back, didn't seem to believe me, but politely changed the charge to a glass like we had ordered. I had the chicken with marsala which was about as good as you could get at Luby's, and nowhere near as food as Carrabba's.

The food was very good. They were understaffed. Our service provider was working as fast as she could. but she was clearly overwhelmed.
