The food was fine. The 20% automatic gratuity seems high for service that was marginal at best. I feel tips are earned and not given. Please try to deliver all the food to a table at the same time. Half of our food for a party of 6 came out later than the others which led to cold food for those waiting to eat.

Really good food and cocktails. Basically no draft beer available. Music was good but on the loud side so made it hard to talk. Will try this place again for brunch sometime!

Usually don’t leave reviews but: It Took the bartender 25 mins to even offer a glass of water. The scallops in garlic butter were undercooked. The crab cakes were fried too hard and was more of a fried crab meat patty. If you ask for regular fries they still put a ranch seasoning on them that’s salty.

I am very disappointed and upset I missed my reservation because of their parking situation being so terrible…I also tried to call the restaurant and lounge with no answer multiple times, to find out where I can park because the valet guy said he could not accommodate my suv…this is not a good look….If you are deciding to go to this spot PLEASE leave EARLY bc if your reservation is on a Saturday the downtown area is crazy and parking is the worse …o don’t have a big SUV…bc valet will not accept it…just bad business in my opinion

Bathroom was not clean at all. Menu was almost useless. They "were out of" several items. The beer selection was weak. And they "were out of" several that were on the menu. The bartender could not represent what they did have very well (what kind of beers, in terms of IPA, Amber/Brown Ales, Porters, etc.). I ended up just getting a Miller Lite on tap, because they had nothing else on tap that I like. When she poured it, it was dark blue, left over from a Detroit Lions Edition thing, which was probably from the last weekend, which was 4 days prior. The food was just plain bad. Truffle fries came served on a plate that has about 1/8 inch of oil/grease that the fries were swimming in. Brussel sprouts were ok. The entree we ordered was an angel-hair pasta dish and we added salmon. The pasta was cut up into short (like an inch or two) strands. The salmon was under-cooked (seared on the outside, but raw on the inside). It gave me stomach issues about an hour after the meal.

This was my first time, and before my visit, I had heard very good things about District 78. But on this visit, it needed some work. Our water glasses were dirty, and we had to ask for our server. They were out of artichoke dip, salmon sliders, and cauliflower, but my seafood grilled cheese sandwich was delicious. I will give it one more try.

Worst experience of anywhere we have ever been in the city. We had reservations and arrived early and were seated right away. Then we sat and sat and sat with not one person coming to the table no one even came to bring waters. After wht felt like forever we just got up and left: I’d give no stars if I could. Was excited to try this place looking at the menu and so disappointed. Don’t waste your time here.
