Our first visit and hopefully not our last.
It being Wednesday we brought our own wine. An all round winner for us.
Tonight we used a voucher for a 3 course Set Menu. There were plenty of choice for all three courses.
I started with Ham Hock Terrain, followed by the Belly Pork.
My husband had the Beetroot with goats cheese followed by chicken breast. We had, at an additional cost, Truffle and Parmesan fries.
Desert was Poached Pear for him and Creme Brulé with shortbread for me.
The food was delicious. The service was excellent without being pushy or intrusive.
Really looking forward to a return visit.

The cocktail we ordered to start was a premixed cocktail and too sweet/ processed. So that wasn’t a great start. First started of sweetcorn was straight of packet. I won’t go on but wouldn’t go back.

Starters were great. Pork was good. “market fresh fish” was clearly frozen.
Desserts were excellent and some good wines on offer.
Cold and draughty by the windows. Service was a bit slow and needed prompting - pleasant enough otherwise

Had a fab lunch off the set menu with wine pairing. Everything was delicious, and no ridiculous wait like some places have. We absolutely weren't rushed and felt we could have stayed as long as we liked, but as a couple that prefers a swift meal we got in and out in a really reasonable time for 3 very tasty courses

Met and greeted well.
Restaurant was chilly and seated under air conditioning unit. 2 cocktails £15 ...negroni nice and bitter ..Cosmo was too sour lacking some sweetness.
Wine pairing starter and main was great.
Starter fishcake lovely and hot with a vibrant puree and refreshing tartare sauce....artichoke risotto was nice.
No roast sirloin left so rump was substituted very tasty. Roast chicken was lovely and moist both could have done with a little more veg...doesn't cost much and I appreciate that they are feeding us not fattening us!!
Dessert creme brulee hit the spot and the choux although initially looking like an anemic chicken nugget dusted in icing sugar was well flavoured with gingerbread and the rhubarb complimented it nicely.
Service was well.timed with some lovely staff.
Would I eat there again? Probably
Would I rush back l? Probably not.
