   We really loved the fact that you could choose between a traditional or savoury afternoon tea - the cakes being replaced with lovely local cheese, pork pie, haslet and scotch egg and a home cooked cheese scone with flavoured butter and chutney. Delightful.

   The food was outstanding. Great atmosphere. Was made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. Would definitely recommend.

   We booked the afternoon tea for Mother’s Day for our mum, it was beautiful, lovely food and lovely girls who served us. Thank you very much will definitely return

   The beautiful surroundings are the main reason we visited. We had 2 sweet tea, 1 savoury tea and 1 GF tea. Gf scone excellent as was the clotted cream The GF bread wasn’t the best - there are some excellent GF breads out there and DH could explore these suppliers. The pastries were all very good but laced with pea shoots which was odd There was some scrimping on the quarter of a strawberry and 1 blueberry There wasn’t enough milk for 4 people and there could have been , at least, some hot water to extend the tiny amount of tea. There could have been more tea/coffee provided for the price. There were lots of staff but they weren’t as assertive as might be expected- for example letting customers know how to pay The staff member who took payment was very courteous Toilets impossible to locate I won’t be returning or recommending for afternoon tea

   2nd visit - having now tried afternoon tea elsewhere this feels impersonal before we has sat down told you can only have the table for an hour and half and it took 15 mins to have our order took. Also think a combined sweet and savoury option would be good. Didn’t think the sweet option was good value for money.
