Whether it’s our renowned carvery lunch on the go, romantic dinner for two or a special occasion shared with friends we offer great tasting and beautifully presented food. Whatever the event Dooleys is the perfect venue for you. Dooleys of Edmondstown is ideally located on the N2 halfway between Ardee and Carrickmacross.

The original bar dates back to 1844, In 2009 the bar was extensively renovated and extended. Today Dooleys includes a warm snug bar, comfortable lounge, restaurant and a large function room. The interior of the restaurant is traditional with an abundance of old world charm. Outside their is a large beer garden to enjoy and our large carpark can cater for up to 120 cars.
Dooleys bar and Restaurant serves home cooked food all day in our Harvest Restaurant and a very popular carvery lunch. Our A La carte Menu in the evening boasts an extensive, innovative menu where the focus is on great tasting and beautifully presented food.

Reserved a table on a Sunday at 4pm but wasn't aware it was just carvery and I was disappointed. The rest of the family enjoyed the carvery however it was very small portion in comparison to other restaurants/pubs that do carvery. I asked about Gluten Free options and waitresses were unsure. We have been to Dooleys on a number of times prior to this and there was a variety of foods and options. Perhaps they can have more options for people with dietary requirements.

Atmosphere was lovely. Warm welcoming fire and good reception by host. Food was very good - tasty and piping hot! Would definitely recommend!

Disappointing food quality compared to previous occasions. Overpriced for the quality of food. Has there been a change of chef? Change of waiter? Overall very disappointing, lights went out and had to wait ten minutes until the generator was started so basically sat in the dark, candles were provided for each table but we had to wait for these. The lights kept going on and off, there was no compensation offered not even a tea or coffee, my desert was inedible and returned and I got charged for it. Charged for a cappuccino when we didn’t get it despite ordering it. Spent 240€ for a meal that was not at all worth it, will not return.
