   Always enjoy our time at Doyles. Food good but a bit on the pricey side. especially with the 10% surcharge on a Saturday. Service good but our waitress left before she left us the bill and we had to make our way inside to pay.

   We were expecting a 5 star experience but in our opinion it was average, I had beef and reef! But I’ve had better at a pub, my partner had oysters the taste was ok but they must be the smallest oysters you can buy, very small but with a big price, not worth the price. Overall I think Doyle’s is trading on past glory & I’ve definatley had better food in Melbourne at a much more realistic price. Can’t fault the location.

   When visiting Watsons Bay all the guide books etc talk about dining at Doyle’s on the beach so we thought we would give it a try. Overall we were very satisfied with the food and service. It is in a great location with good food and a decent atmosphere, the big question in all restaurants is would I make the effort and come back again the answer is a definite yes.

   Lovely spot Well taken care of in bar and restaurant. Seated near beach where parents let children run amok. Must be some kind of tradition during dinner cause no one else seemed bothered. Food was delicious. Pricing a bit high.

   An iconic place, lovely spot. Incredibly busy, but despite that exceptional service especially from our Geordie waiter. The food we had was good but not incredible. However we were very impressed that our request for a window table had been met, and was perfect. So it was a good night.

   Upstairs dining room hot and uninspiring. Staring at a white wall with windows that are bolted shut. Soulless dining room. Wait staff were ok expected. Food mediocre.

   Food was poor. Ingredients didn’t compliment the fresh fish. The chips were very average, tuna tartar bland, prawns ruined and couldn’t get fish and chips right - chips very average and salad leaves from the packet. Totally over rated. Avoid

   Beautiful warm evening and sunset viewed from an outside table. Tuna tartare to die for. Superb grilled John Dory.

    I had a lovely table on the patio right by the water, I enjoyed the oyster platter and the octopus entree. The wine was delicious, and my server was wonderful!
