  • Good for special occasions
  • Romantic
  • Great for scenic views
Drawing Office Two, with its spectacular three-storey high barrel-vaulted ceiling, is now the vibrant heart of the hotel.

Enjoy a drink at the island bar or something to eat in one of the many relaxing niches with original artwork by local artist Colin H Davidson.

This breathtaking room is where many of the world’s most famous ocean liners, including RMS Titanic, were painstakingly designed.

Look out for authentic interior features such as the Villeroy & Boch tiles that encircle the main bar; the same as the ones used for Titanic’s swimming pool and First Class bathrooms!

The same craftsmen who worked on the great liners created the fine plasterwork in this room.

I went primarily because of the convenient location to Titanic Experience and history of the building - which they could have brought o life more. More suited to afternoon tea or an ad-hoc drink than formal sit-down dining. Seating was very low - which made if difficult to eat / some might have access issues with

Having booked a table I would expect to sit at a table with the decent height to enjoy a meal. Low coffee table was not pleasing I would expect this if I had have not booked. The food was poor- burger bap was stale, potato’s were dry no butter or any seasoning the tomato wa if it sat all day in its juices. The main course was terrible, the waiting staff lacked enthusiasm my cocktail was spilt when placed down on the table without an acknowledgment. No atmosphere in the place. Overall I have had far nicer experiences elsewhere and won’t be back

We went for lunch on a Sat pm. The room is lovely, however the table we were placed at was to low and to small. The service was very slow, but the food was lovely. I feel the addition of background music appropriate to the theme of the place would be a useful addition. The tables as mentioned should be replaced. You are sitting on a shared settee. Whilst there were some other tables the majority I saw were of the type mentioned above. The restaurant just lacks atmosphere. The staff could be a bit more engaging. No one checked to see if we were enjoying our lunch It was just " are you ready to order " , " all finished". I expected more professionalism.

Unfortunately this was not the experience we had expected or had been recommended to us. We had to ask more than once for different items for our table. Some of the food never even arrived. We were extremely disappointed and it did not meet any of our expectations especially when it was a treat for us on our holiday.

Erratic standard of food, chowder was exceptional, brownies on kids menu were great & very well presented. Steak was ok, not prepared as requested & poor value overall. Cocktails very average not prepared to that standard of a good cocktail bar. Great surroundings but the service was really appalling. It seems like the staff have not been properly trained, no specific wait staff seem to have been assigned to tables, we encountered 5 different exit staff over 3 courses. Very long wait between courses, empty plates & glasses left on table. Really basic stuff that sky restaurant should be able to handle. Overall not recommended which is a shame as the seafood chowder is one of the best I’ve ever had. I hope the rest of the restaurant catches up.

Dining room was beautiful and waiters were all very polite but the service was very, very slow. Asked online if there was a special occasion. Told them it was my daughter’s 18th. There was no mention of it from anyone at the Hotel, so why ask online in the first place?? I would definitely go back though as the food and red ale was great and it is a nice piece of history to dine in.

There are very few tables for eating as you would expect in a restaurant. Most of the tables are coffee table style and height with sofas and armchairs which do not make for a comfortable sitting position for a meal at all. There is a function room adjacent which is not used for anything but afternoon teas and this was not allowed for evening dining after asking for an appropriate height table. Staff stated that when booking the meal we should have asked for a proper height table!!!!!! That option is not available through Open table. Ordered wine and it was simply set on the table with two glasses and the manager just walked off without offering to taste or pour or even confirm that was the wine we chose. After our starters we were offered to move to a higher table to find that it was surrounded by soft armchairs which required extra cushions from a nearby sofa to try and raise the seating position - not very successful and ended up eating dinner at almost chin level. Food was good although whilst it looked nice, trying to eat fish and chips from a wire basket was not ideal. Small pot of tartare sauce was only 1/3 full. Seafood chowder was delicious as was the Thai curry. Nobody followed up after serving to see if the food was to our satisfaction and we were only approached once when we had finished eating to see if we wanted anything else.
