Located on Lake Wylie in the newly developed McLean South Shore, Drift on Lake Wylie is a chef-inspired lakeside chophouse. At the forefront of the Lake Wylie dining scene, our food is simple and seasonal—home to prime cuts of beef, local seafood, and homemade pasta.     On April 12th, we will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch Buffet for the whole family! Join us on Saturday morning for some Easter fun. We'll have Easter eggs hidden outside of our restaurant, so feel free to enjoy the hunt before joining us for a delicious brunch buffet. During brunch, the Easter Bunny will be here to meet everyone and take photos! This event is $35 per person, which includes the brunch buffet, coffee, juice, a 4% administrative fee, an 18% gratuity, and tax. Reservations are required, and all reservations will require a credit card hold.

    Please join us on Thursday, March 27th, to enjoy the wines of E. Guigal Vineyards. Our 5-course meal will be specially crafted by Executive Chef Jesse Syzmanski. This menu will highlight the notes and flavors of each wine and guarantees a meal to remember. The menu price is $125++ per guest; this price does not include a special event service fee of 4%, gratuity, or tax. A credit card hold will be required to make the reservation, and payment will be due at the conclusion of your meal.

    I went for my birthday and had an amazing time! Upon entering the restaurant the staff greeted me so warmly! Our waiter was wonderful!! She even gave us a free dessert! The food was soo good! We ordered a little bit of everything and loved everything we got. Not to mention the restaurant itself was beautiful as well!! 10/10 would definitely visit again!

    Server was excellent but my bacon omelet had no bacon in it. Also food took too long to come out- then everyone else finished by the time my entree (made properly) was delivered.

    We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughters birthday during Sunday brunch. The staff even provided a small desert at the end! As always, the food, service, and ambiance were fantastic. We’ll be back!

    As usual, Ashton was a delightful Server. She always has an infectious “smile” and is very gracious as she meets all of our needs. And YES - the new menu has some great additions! See you soon.

    Ambience is great and the primary reason to make reservations. The salmon was in a broth which was different and not to our liking. Sea Bass was good with corn purée underneath. Street corn had no flavor and mashed potatoes and asparagus was ok but nothing special. Service was slow with our entree order not taken for over an hour after we were seated and waitress was not attentive.

    What a lovely setting inside and out! Really enjoyed the airy open feel of the restaurant. The view of the lake is on two sides of the restaurants. While it was too cool to sit outside and dine, I cam’s wait to come back and enjoy the view of the lake and enjoy the food that was prepared well. The seafood was expertly prepared and if you don’t like highly spicy food, it’s easy tp enjoy the texture, taste, and feel of the dishes. The service was top notch too.
