THE FOOD: Dunns River Lounge offers authentic Jamaican cuisine for over 17 years in a casually elegant & intimate setting on Long Island. Our menu, prepared by Chef Bobby and his crew, features traditional dishes like Jerk Chicken, Braised Oxtails, Curried Goat and Jerk Salmon as well as creative daily specials like Jerk BBQ Ribs, Jerk Lobster Pasta & Codfish Fritters with Guacamole.

We really enjoyed the food, it was tasty and fabulous, a little slow in coming to the table but understandable as the restaurant was packed. The server Yannique(?) was very attentive and checked on us regularly.

MUSIC IS EXTREMELY LOUD. DJ NEED TO TURN THE VOLUME DOWN U CANNOT EVEN HEAR THE PEOPLE AT UR TABLE. Music is great.

Ambience was good. It was smaller than I expected. The ackee and saltfish with plantains was very tasty - I loved it! My friend has their chicken soup which she loved and it looked very tasty as well. I wasn't a fan of their curry chicken, but my friend had the salmon. I should have had that instead. My only complaint was the music. It was too loud. The music choice was great, just too loud. I was literally screaming so that my friend could hear me. The spicy mango margarita is a must try.

It was a good experience to eat here. Came out with my family, and they enjoyed the food and music from the DJ. The service was really good, and the server always made sure that we were good. Will definitely be coming back again.

The drinks were delicious. We had the red peas soup which we enjoyed and will be back for.‘The jerk ribs and escovich snapper were absolutely delicious. Fish was fresh, and nothing was overly spicy. The veal be was comfortable and fun.

Amazing establishment. Food was just mouth watering . Great place for a date night or just a girls brunch . We had an amazing waitress who took care of us so well . Owner was sensational as well. This place is a must !
