Ilan Cohen is a self-taught chef who began his career in Jerusalem, Israel more than 20 years ago.
Along with his wife Lauren they opened Falafel Bistro & Wine Bar in 2007, DVASH’s sister location, and has been serving authentic-Israeli cuisine to the South Florida community for more than a decade.

DVASH, located in Boca Raton, showcases a modern twist on classic mediterranean cuisine. Imagined by Cohen’s daughter, Anabel Hochberg, the menu is designed for sharing and provides guests with the opportunity to travel the culinary world through their taste buds, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and of course, a little bit of honey.

    We love dining here. Today, they had a Soup special: Corn soup. They MUST add this to their everyday menu. It was beyond outstanding. The salads are so large, that there are always more than one can eat. My portobello sandwich was mouth watering delicious. The home made potatoe slices are always perfectly prepared. We like to visit at off hours. They are packed during "normal" dining hours. Try it for lunch too. They have a special lunch menu that includes wine.

    We ate outside with heaters. It was delightful. Inside is very noisy. Outside is perfect.

    I am addicted to their Mushugana Burger. Merely saying its name causes me to salivate I introduced a friend to it tonight and she, too, is hooked. The food is uniquely flavorful. A special shout out to Idi, our server who was flawless!

    Excellent selection, we eat vegan so appreciate all the choices. Flavorful good, well presented, great server, great wine list (zinfandel by Prisoner was wonderful). We will be back

    Food was delicious. Service very efficient and accommodating. We had people with allergies and a vegan and all needs were loved after carefully and with a wonderful attitude.
