We made reservations and arrived on time however the hostess stated she didn’t see that there were reservations made. We provided her the proof on our phones and she shrugged and said “sorry, it must have not come through”. She then said it was probably their fault but there was nothing she could do. what?! We walked to Slightly North of Broad and they seated us immediately. If you see proof that the reservation system you require the public to use showed the reservation…common sense and good custom service should have. you seat this reservation rather than shrug your shoulders, admit it was probably the restaurant’s fault and not do anything about it.

The wait staff was excellent and the violin music set the atmosphere! The stuffed pickle appetizer is not to be missed!

A $45 "Charcuterie Board" (served on a plate) is made up of Wheat Thins, Saltines, a handful of mixed Nuts, 4 slices of Prosciutto, 4 slices of Salami, and some Green Olives. Looks like it was thrown together by a 12 year old. Frozen pizza/flatbread sold as homemade Everything is store-bought frozen, and sold as fresh... 100's of better options in the city

Our second time eating dinner here. I had an excellent steak. The food is so delicious and the service is perfect. This is a family run establishment that makes you feel right at home.

Upon ordering we were a full informed that several items on the rather limited menu were not available. We ordered other items and after about 15 minutes my husband was informed that his choice was no longer available. I ordered the chicken from Kay’s and he got the shrimp scampi. It appeared that both had the same sauce. It’s not that it was bad although it was excessively lemony but it definitely wasn’t shrimp scampi and the lemon did overwhelm the chicken. We were also charged extra for bread and there wasn’t very much of it as well as being charged extra for Parmesan at a higher rate than one normally does at a restaurant. A lot of the food was really very good and we love the portion size, but the limited options were disappointing

The service was rushed in spite of their being empty tables. They were out of several items on the menu leaving little to choose from.My entrée sauce was watery however the chicken was delicious and tender. This has been one of our favorite restaurants, but this visit disappointed.

This has been our second time to enjoy East Bay Meeting House in Charleston, once right before COVID-19 and now that they are back after South Carolina has removed all restrictions, and they have maintained their excellent menu and pricing. Everything about our experience was superb, from the food, the service, to the ambiance, we were extremely pleased. This is a hidden gem in Charleston, with a distinctive European flair, and like everywhere in Charleston at this time, you need a reservation. Don’t pass this place up. People who have lived in Charleston all there lives didn’t know of it, and they run a B&B in the historic district. After we raved about it, they tried it and loved it. It is now on their list of their recommended restaurants. The owner is the chef, so you know they will not disappoint. We loved it before COVID-19 and still love it now. Great food, very reasonable prices, excellent atmosphere, and a perfect location

Quickly seated and waited on. Salad was crisp and easily enough for two. Crab cakes and she crab soup were amazing!
