With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula.

We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices.

A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for.

Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance.

We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent.

    It was very loud, weird draft on one end of our table. Service was uneven throughout the night- had to repeatedly ask to order drinks, came to check how our meals were before we had even taken a bite then disappeared. Often long wait to find our server. They were out of tomahawks which was disappointing, Dessert menu was very boring as was the execution. Just wasn’t the hushed steakhouse vibe I was hoping for at all. Unlikely to return.

    This was my first time at the restaurant. I see why Echo and Rig got many 5 start ratings. The service was top notch. All three of us loved our food. I really like the entire space. We will be back and tell our friends of the wonderful experience we had.

    This is was our third time going to Echo & Rig for a milestone celebration (this time was for our wedding 12/31/24) and we loved it as usual. The manager, Mike, welcomed and congratulated us then brought two glasses of champs. Eric, our server, was a joy and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our special dinner. Kim, who we had as our server the last two times came by and said hi as well. Just a lovely staff and shows why we love coming here. Cheers!

    Delicious appetizers and entrees. Highly recommend the Mac n cheese & New York strip. Creamy cheese with soft pasta melted elegantly with a tender, and flavorful steak sat wonderfully.

    Great experience from the beginning to the end. Hostess sat us promptly. Manager Matt greeted us at the table and which really set the mood for our entire dining experience. Our server, Zach was celebrating his own birthday and had great knowledge of the menu. He provided excellent service and had a great sense of humor. This may be one of our new favorite spots!

    One of our dishes needed to be replated and it took more than 10 minutes for it to come out. While the other 2 plates came out fine. No comp to make up for the mistake and the replated food was cold.
