   third visit and it was overall pretty good; we ate in the family friendly ding area not the bar area which has booths and tables for seating - probably a mistake, the crowd in the family ding room was noisy aggravated by the room acoustics and roof/ceiling design; will definitely request bar room seating next time we visit and there will be a next time! Despite the prices being a little on the pricey side, the service was great - Sara our server and her manager were quite attentive without hovering; the food came out quickly and all 3 in our party very much enjoyed our meal - excellently prepared and quite tasty; we left happy though glad to be out of the dim. We'll be back but just sitting in the bar area.

   Too noisey . For the price bread and salad should have been included. Waiter was excellent.

Regarding the bread and salad, we choose not to include them automatically so we can keep our overall pricing more reasonable and avoid passing along costs to guests who may not want those extras. This approach also helps us save in other ways, like being able to surprise guests with birthday desserts from time to time, which is something we love doing.    Our crew of 4 had a wonderful time at Eight Settlers. Love eating in the downstairs jail cells.. makes everything quiet and simple to have private conversations..

   We noted a disabled guest, and they called to let us know seating was upstairs and they have an elevator! That’s great service!

   Easy to find and plenty of parking, Settlers was a hidden gem. Perfect place to stop on the way to the Canyon for whatever activity. Seating was prompt, service was courteous and attentive. Menu had a great selection of breakfast and lunch items and an unusual and tempting cocktail choices. Our waiter was great. We will definitely make this place a regular stop.

    Great experience at this distillery/restaurant at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Nice selection of appetizers, salads and entrees - something for everyone. Beautiful Presentation of all items. Service was excellent (not to be taken for granted in the post-covid dining world). Our server was knowledgeable and friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness. Good value. We will be back!
