    We made a last minute booking on a busy Friday evening and although OpenTable only allowed us to book an outdoor table, the personable host/manager found us a great table for two in the long room behind the lounge. We’ve been pretty regular customers at 849 for years, but had stopped going so often during the last few years as we found that things had slipped a bit. However, we’re happy to say that the quality has REALLY returned, especially with regard to the food. Their Caesar Salad (from the bar menu) is SUPERB - one of the best I’ve had. I also had the burger (from the bar menu as well) which is excellent (although the delicious brioche bun had disintegrated by the time I was halfway through the burger). All in all, a top-notch meal.
