Our flagship restaurant brings Michelin starred chef Niklas Ekstedt's signature style of wood fired ‘old Nordic’ cooking to the UK for the very first time.     Nice tasting menu. What made the evening was the level of service and professionalism of the sommelier Klearhos. Introduced my wife and I to Royal Tokaji Essencia 2008. This dessert wine made our night and my wife’s birthday. Many thanks Klearhos for the knowledge and experience. Highly recommend just for the sommelier experience.

    Best restaurant I've been in London. The team also makes it an interactive experience, letting us see the kitchen and how the signature oyster dish is made. Wonderful experience, each dish had its own personality.

    Genuinely incredible experience. The food was out of this world, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the space was beautiful. For one course, you get invited into the kitchen, which was an amazing touch too.

    In my opinion, Eksteadt is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in London. The food is sensational, all cooked over wood only.

    We went for the Sunday roast so a limited selection and quite different to the regular a-la- carte menu. Service was rushed which was odd seeing as we arrived early for our table, and we had barely received our drinks and settled into our seats when the food arrived so we were sat drinking cocktails while to food went cold. Perhaps this is unfair critique for a Sunday service given all the components will be cooked in advance so just need plating. Food was good but portions are small so go for the starter if you are hungry and avoid the bread and butter - 2 dry, tasteless slices for £4 was a bit weird. Other than the pacing, the service was fine and the dining room is pleasant and atmospheric.

    Bit disappointed with our visit to celebrate a birthday for 8 of us. Menu is small which is fine especially as their slow cooked beef is delicious. But why serve on wooden boards onto cold plates so the meat is just lukewarm as were the sides. Two hasselback new potatoes per person for Sunday lunch was miserly as was the toy sized Yorkshire pudding. Service was lacking especially considering restaurant was only half full - we were only told they didn’t have the Aperol three of us ordered after the rest of the drinks delivered. Desserts were impressive. The building is beautiful and the meat memorable but it’s expensive here and service doesn’t match.
