   I ate at El Torito at least 5-10 years ago when I came with my sister. We made a reservation a week prior and were taken right back as soon as we walked in and put next to a window facing the ocean as requested. Our waitress was good, came over immediately and took our drink orders and gave us time to chose our meals. What wasn’t great was the fact that when I got my meal the entree was not fresh and both beans and rice were ice cold. I ate some of my entree and tried to eat the others but just couldn’t. The restaurant was beautiful and my waitress was good, unfortunately I just could not have eaten the food if I tried.

   Had a terrible experience Food was not even warm Everyone els at my table didn’t want to complain but I didn’t want to eat cold meat

   Wasn’t good but they were busy so maybe that has something to do with it but food was not good at all. Food looked like it had just been thrown on a plate and the taste was not good. Server was cool though. Not her fault the food is gross. If the server wasn’t cool this would be 1 star. Pretty view from our table. I’ll just get chipotle and eat it on the beach next time though.

   Great views of Monterey Bay. Easy parking - gated lot validated by check-in table, good Mexican food - we had bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, fajitas and tacos. Too many chips and salsa. We will definitely be back.

   everytime im in monterey, its a must to go to El Torito for sunday brunch! I miss their Chili verde and pozole is to die for, bring the tradition pork pozole…. thats my favorite! service is always attentive and great! I wish it was dog friendly, our time was cut short for that reason!

   Great Having Reservations got there and taken right in had to wait a few minutes for a window table to become avail was not more than a few mins and we went right in. Great staff Lucero was our Waitress great service and food was great we go there often for dinner this was the first time we did the Brunch will repeat. lots of different food to choose from and great customer service

   Came to El torito from Madera CA ,I was told why go there u can have Mexican food anywhere anytime ,go have seafood ,I am so glad El torito was only choice let me tell you the food is so good beyond delicious so much to choose from try Sunday brunch buffet it will not disappoint by any means so much variety, it's very clean and omg the staff the cooks waiters waitresses hostess ,all great people make you really feel like your at the best place because you really are, Thank you El Torito we will definitely be back , This place is all around 10 out of 10 THIS RESTAURANT IS A MUST HAVE !

   If you don’t mind crying babies, screaming kids, adults drumming in tables and walking babies up and down the aisles then go. The food is reasonable and about the only queso you can find in the area. But it’s a family place so be prepared for the noise.
