   The New Years Eve crowd overwhelmed the team, and systems simply weren’t in place to help them accurately predict and manage table availability (1 hour+ delays on reservations being seated). However, the food remained of good quality, with some dishes excellent. Bar staff did great managing the overflow. Wait staff did amazingly well, but service became rather perfunctory. No empowerment to perhaps offer a free glass of wine per the waits.

   Reservations were for 7pm. Arrived a bit early to enjoy a drink at bar. Checked in and said it would be a few minutes. Didn’t get seated until almost 8pm. The server was fine, the service was slow, food was a bit cold and no one cared that it was taking so long or acknowledged there was an issue. When you spend $350 for drinks and dinner you do expect a level of service and accountability. This wasn’t it. Disappointed to say the least.

   It was an hour before we saw our appetizer and drinks, 90 minutes before we saw our soup and the two hour mark when our entrees finally arrived. The waitress comped a glass of wine (that I didn’t need) but we didn’t see much of her otherwise. The food was good but we were not expecting our dining experience to take 2.5 hours. We did a pickup order at Cheesecake Factory for dessert, no way we were going to wait another 30 minutes for desert. The pork chop was cooked well past its prime and the halibut was also overcooked. The cheesebread was delivered burnt and then Still lit on fire. I saw a seafood tower sitting out for 15 minutes before someone delivered it to our neighboring table. Service and timing were rough last night! We’ve had good experiences there in the past but last night certainly soured us.

   Eldr-Rime is a very nice hotel restaurant. It tends to be quiet on the weekends, probably because the hotel isn't full. The food is very good and well-prepared. The service is very good, also. We were seated next to the service/utensils counter and it was pretty noisy, only because of the need for servers to get their napkins, utensils, and such. Overall, a good restaurant!

   The brunch and the Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s were great. The Ahi Tuna Tartare and Shrimp Cocktails were excellent and our server was pleasant and attentive.

   Sat for 25 minutes before someone came to our table. We had to ask if we could get served. Once we got someone it was all good. Thank you, Just couldn’t give more than 3 stars, let’s just say the food and service was ok.
