   Great service and fantastic & tasty food. We sat down and looked around ) lots of visuals), another waiter came over and said “I saw you looking around, can I get you something until your server comes over?” Our server was very attentive too, though busy. Tried several items and drinks all winners. Place is loud and had a dj. Loved the vibe. Great date night place. Only negative, nearly impossible to hear the server. We will be back.

   The DJ was ridiculously loud to the point you couldn’t have a conversation without screaming! The server didn’t even hear us at times. He had to lean in and we had to repeat ourselves. It was the same noise level like it was a dance club… We looked around and clearly every table was having a hard time hearing each other. And the music was awful on top of it being loud! It was almost comical! The food & service was great but will not return if a DJ is performing at that highly intense sound level! We live across the street and stop in often. We had a 7:15 reservation but weren’t seated until 7:45.

   This was our first time for a birthday celebration. The complimentary champagne when you arrive is a great touch. The DJ brought a great energy. The food was great and Sam our waiter was good and made the experience one I will remember. Although very pricy $$$. It is well worth a special occasion.

   Food was amazing. Really enjoyed it. Service was excellent! Drinks tasted great! Staff were all welcoming! Friends and family have asked about the restaurant from my recent Instagram Story post! Highly recommended! Will return with a potential business event!

   This place was incredible! The ambiance is very cool and is perfect for a night out. They even had a live DJ playing music, but it wasn’t overly loud. We had a group of 6 and had no trouble having conversations across the table. The featured cocktails were fun twists on classics that everyone loves. People in my group had the mule, old fashioned, espresso martini and the other featured martini. Everyone ordered seconds. Appetizers and food were delicious and come out quickly. We had the edamame, ahi tuna, and shrimp to start and then everyone ordered entrees. 10/10 reviews from the whole group! We will definitely be back!

   The food on the prix fixe menu wasn't very good unfortunately. The tuna balls lacked flavor. The tempura shishito peppers seemed creative but the fried approach just made them flaky and insubstantial. Bang bang shrimp was good. The crispy duck was chewy and had a gamey taste to it. The server didn't ask how we wanted the filet mignon cooked and it came out bland and chewy. The chocolate lava cake was very dry. Additionally there was no heat in the restaurant. We left our coats on the whole time, and needed them with the door swinging open for long periods of time. The Iron & Sands Paso Robles Cab was not available as advertised but the 3Thieves Cabernet was recommended and was satisfactory as an alternative. It really didn't match the quality that the restaurant was supposed to give off. Staff was nice and very friendly and the ambience would have been good but there was NO DJ as advertised on the OpenTable invitation. We were really disappointed to drive downtown for a special occasion and see some big misses like this in the experience. We've been to Elephant East before for drinks, and our expectations for dinner were higher than what was delivered last night.

   I chose to visit this place because of my previously great experiences in the Harwood District. Unfortunately, my experience at Elephant East fell far below expectations. The hostess who greeted us was rude, which set a negative tone for the evening. The New Year’s menu consisted of a three-course meal that was disappointing: the food was undercooked, the portions included minimal protein, and the overall quality was not reflective of the steep pricing. Given this experience, I would not return.

    The vibe was amazing but the food was not. We got bang bang shrimp, fried rice, honey chicken, pad Thai, and tuna crispy rice. The best thing was the crispy rice and everything else tasted like straight up soy sauce. Also the pad Thai was very watery. However, the lychee strawberry mock tail and the samurai mule mock tail were delicious. Glad I tried this place, but wouldn’t come back.
