Dissapointed that website & reservations don’t share specific times for brunch. Arrived 2:00 & brunch ends at 1:55. Do others around us were allowed to order off Brunch menu because they were seated 2 mins before my party of two. Lounge menu was very limited & the preformed patty for burger was served cold, and missing the majority of add ons requested. The manager was apologetic & adjusted our bill and we appreciate the gesture. It remains unfortunate that a high end luxury service establishment has such in flexibility also misses the opportunity to make it up with good food & service with what is available. A Dallas staple, quick read & game changer Carl Sewell Customers for Life. Hopefully, this was a rare moment & you & your party will click in by 1:55.

Was seated, ordered drinks, 30 min later no drinks, so went to the bar to try and order there. No one spoke to me or made eye contact. They were totally overwhelmed with 2-3 servers. We asked each one if they would take our order and they said they couldn’t but that they would tell our server. He never once came to the table after he seated us. We finally just left and went to a great Italian place next door. Sadly, will not be returning to Ellie’s

Your 2 waitstaff for a full house were hustling and doing the best they could. Kitchen was slow per usual but the food was awesome. Checkout complicated because cc technology was being troublesome and waitstaff should have had assistance with that. Our cc’s were left exposed on a counter for almost 15 min till we noticed it and stood at the station to get assistance. We were not alone in this—- all patrons had the same issue to deal with. We waited 10 min for the host to show up and check us in for our reservation— he/she never did— so the busy waiter finally seated us and there was a line of people waiting behind us. Cannot understand why the service issues persist at Ellie’s—-- clearly a sign of poor management. Again— I cannot say enough good things about the 2 servers who had to take care of the entire room. Please address the egregious lack of sufficient servers or I fear people will stop coming to Ellie’s.

This is the 3rd and last time at Ellie’s. Our reservation and arrival was 5:30. We expected to have a leisurely dinner with friends before seeing a 7:30 show at the Windspear. Our food didn’t arrive until 7:10. It was dried as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for over 30 minutes. One poor wait person for 12 tables for dinner on a Sunday night. Obviously, management does not prioritize customer service or reputation. So disappointed. Almost ruined the whole evening.

This place needs more waitstaff! It took way too long to take drink and food orders. In fact, two of us drank a bottle of wine, and our entree was nowhere in sight. We finally paid for our wine and appetizer after being there 1.5 hours. We also saw others leaving because of the long wait times to take orders. And it was not busy either. It seems poorly managed. It's sad because it's close to AT&T Performing Arts Center for events, and it has a great open floor plan and comfortable energy.

We were shocked at how bad this experience was. We arrived for our reservation at 5, before the 7:30 Bonnie Raitt show at the Winspear. Service was polite but scattered and harried. Aside from drinks and food taking incredibly long to receive, at 6:45 we learned that there was no more redfish and they were bringing us sea bass—no side dish as on the menu, very plain. We had bee there almost 2 hours and first got food we hadn’t ordered and not even with the side as described on the menu. So disappointing and what a waste of time and money.

Fantastic service, ambiance and value for food. It was our boys' birthday and they made our visit very special - several servers came by just to say Happy Birthday!

The restaurant has a spare, modern vibe. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get. I received a small piece of sea bass, served alone on a plate, with a bowl of French fries. Four pieces of plain focaccia bread was $15. My husband ordered a pasta dish. One beer and one glass of wine and the bill, with tip, was $155.

Love, love the Sunday morning Jazz Brunch. Band was great and even played a short Happy Birthday to my friend. Enjoyed the French Toast as a general appetizer for the table. Food and service were very good.
