   Entree of Pate with Yorkshire puddings was excellent but pate knives were wooden and not really useful. Glassware was fabulous and drinks were local and reasonably priced, however, we went there for the steaks. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. We chose the dry aged rump cap to share and had two separate sauces. It was fairly tasty but somewhat chewy (not tender and delicious) and definitely drier. My husband’s pepper sauce was sweet and had very few peppercorns in it, which led us to think that they may have been made from a premixed powder. Service was very slow to start and the staff looked to be under pressure to keep up. Just one more waiter would have made a big difference. Overall, we would have to rate our visit a 3.5

   Superb and correctly cooked steak with delicious side dishes. Wine list could be a little more 'interesting' with limited choices but there was a very good Amelia Park available. Recommend with hesitation .... and I'm a local!

   Food was good, however portions overall small for the price. Also we ended up at a high table even though we had booked for low seating. The ambience was a bit lacking. A good venue for a group but not very cosy or romantic for just two people. And all those dead anthlers / bones strewn around the place was unappetising. Service was pleasant warm and polite.

   The food was amazing!! Cannot fault it, had the scotch fillet medium rare and it was exactly how I ordered it. The only thing bringing the score down was that we booked online to say it was our anniversary, when we arrived it wasn’t very busy but still took a few minutes for someone to seat us, they didn’t acknowledge our anniversary and the server asked us if we would like still or sparkling water, we asked for still but it didn’t come until we asked for it. Later found out our server was the owner…..,other than that, so so good!
