ELY WINE STORE Maynooth is a wine shop that doubles as a wine bar and café with an intimate dining room upstairs where breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch are served. A place where you could buy any of the 400 wines to enjoy there or bring home!

The Wine Store will be an exciting addition to Maynooth’s bustling town centre.
It also has a distinctive design, maintaining some of the original features of the building.

*We are now opening for Monday lunch service 11am - 3pm. This is is currently only bookable over the phone 01-5043709 or just pop in.

    The lunch menu was very limited. The only proper meals on offer were chicken burger or fish & chips. The rest of the menu was made up avo eggs, granola, soup, salad and sandwiches. A bit disappointing as this was a Christmas lunch meet. We had the fish & chips, the hake had a lovely light tempura batter which was delicious, chips were tasty but the tartar sauce was a bit light on the capers which made it creamy rather than tangy. It really needed a side as the portion was small. We had the sticky toffee pudding and cheese plate. Sticky toffee was a little dry but had good flavour but there was no toffee sauce!! Service was good

    A great place to meet friends for afternoon lunch/brunch. The quality of food was excellent and atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Great value with a great selection of wines. Thanks to everyone in Ely, we will be back.

    We have been to Ely many times and had a good experience. Last lnight was not great. Two of our five small plates were too oily and not edible. Wine is always good. As we were upstairs we could hear the chefs in the kitchen swearing whil chit chatting. Not something I enjoy when paying 110+ for dinner. I know it's hard to get godd staff but you asked for my feedback.

    Scallops are a must!!! Always a treat and a pleasure. Fantastic wine options and expertise in hand. Hard to beat for a guaranteed great experience.

    Ely never lets us down. The food is always outstanding with fresh seasonal produce. The wine menu is huge and there's always someone on hand to recommend a delicious pairing for your meal
