   So this is a hearty 👍. From the valet at the front door, to the receptionist and our server-Poppy, we felt valued and welcomed. Being a bit of a foodie, my expectations were high and I was more than pleased! the hummus appetizer & four beautiful lamb chops cooked perfectly, so good! The roasted vegetable side of sweet potatoes, parsnips and turnip ? amazing! We were pleasantly satisfied so dessert was not a temptation. Will return-maybe breakfast!

   Blakey, Doug and the entire staff were outstanding. The food was fantastic. We had a very enjoyable experience.

   The ambiance is different from Dollymore resort - but on purpose. Also - dinner at this restaurant is table service vs. a buffet. But overall - we enjoyed our meal - and the manager stopped by several times to check in with us.

   Very nice place, food and service was great. Free dessert for a birthday, got it to go since we were full up from the meal! The biscuits served before dinner were awesome, with butter and a kind of pepper jam. Price was very reasonable for a resort. Nice start to our weekend getaway.

   The atmosphere was relaxed and homey. Our server Blakelyn was friendly and attentive. We told him we were trying to cut calories and he made helpful suggestions to tweak our meal. And what a meal! I had the most delectable she-crab soup followed by a crispy and perfectly seasoned trout.

   Unfortunately it was the worst THANKSGIVING DINNER we had. We paid $400+ (tax & tip) for party of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids), for Thanksgiving buffet that food was very dry, only chicken tenders for kids, no variety of food, literally no food at all. Desserts were all bland. Our sodas came half way of our dinner because they don't have clean glasses available. Our realizations after this dinner, DO NOT GO to a fancy Thanksgiving dinner. Chinese buffet is wayyyyyy better than this at a fraction of the cost. We will never complain about the food when we go cruising. Ember & Elm is waayyyyyyy most worst than any buffets at our cruises. We thought this gonna be the highlight of our Gatlinburg trip, but it was a huge disappointment. Though we give credits to the busser for working so hard that night.

    My family and I ate at Ember & Elm multiple times during our stay. The service, food, cleanliness, and comfort were all above par. Our server Bill greeted us each morning for breakfast. The avocado toast was the absolute best I have ever had and my husband loved the buffet. Being away for the holidays is new to our family so I admittedly looked for ways to scrutinize and compare it to our personal traditions. We chose the Thanksgiving dinner buffet based on the variety of options available. It was not as intimate as I had hoped, maybe because of the open ballroom. However, no detail was overlooked. The food was abundant and delicious. Everything was decorated beautifully. We had Jeanine taking care of us, who was so kind. I honestly can say I am grateful to Ember & Elm for making my family’s Thanksgiving wonderful. We may have even found a new tradition.
