   Nice welcome, cute setting, nice to see the open kitchen at the end. Ordered 2 starters and 1 main. Got 1 starter fairly quick, then waited about 35mins - for prawns, pretty sure they don’t take quite that long to cook and actually, they weren’t worth the wait, wouldn’t order again. The chicken liver parfait was sublime, only gripe, VERY small amount for £12, 4-5 pieces would be a bit better value. 1 piece is literally 2 bites. The veal was cooked to perfect, we had nothing to say at all about it and would have it again. Need more than 1 rose wine option please ;) Would definitely return, has great potential.

   What a fantastic addition to Hertford, Ember is! We visited today for a roast and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, food of the highest quality and good sized portions - we will definitely be back!!

   Service at Ember was excellent. The food was good but significantly overpriced. The labneh starter was fantastic but £11 for dip and bread? The steak was good but far too salty and the serving was small for £60 (you also need to order sides separately). It’s a shame as it has so much potential but I’m not sure we’d be rushing back

   Amazing food and atmosphere from start to finish… the steak is a standout for me, but all the food was top level and even better than London favourites of mine like Goodmans and Hawksmoor I’ll be returning soon to try out the Sunday roast!

   Early days but as a guest of George IV, was expecting a little more. All fish dishes off the menu. Green leaves over-lemony. Sprouts over-cooked and no lardons. Long wait for food in spite of it being very quiet. Managers hanging out downstairs and not too keen to engage. Not cheap even though we were both on the mailing list. I'm sure things will pick up.

   The chicken parfait was delicious. I ordered for myself, it turned up with three pieces on toasted bread with pieces of satsuma on top. My wife ate 2 of them! What I had was absolutely delicious! I then had the brill and cod fishcake which was okay. Only comment was brill was too dry, but tasted lovely. My wife had Sunday roast with rump option. She cleared her plate and said best meal she had had for a while - and she's a great cook and knows her food! Overall, a fabulous experience. We'll be back again.

   Amazing experience celebrating a special occasion at Ember. Food was absolutely incredible, great atmosphere, super friendly staff & finished off with cocktails in the lovely bar downstairs. Can’t recommend enough 👏🏼

   Had a fantastic meal at Ember. Food is outstanding, couldn’t recommend the steak more and don’t sleep on the carrots! Sam was a fantastic waitress - extremely attentive - thank you for an amazing time - we will be back!

    Incredible food, tunes & atmosphere. Sam our waitress was excellent and Dillon in the downstairs bar recommended some delicious cocktails. It’s just what Hertford needed. Already booked to go back New Years Eve!
