The chicken parfait was delicious. I ordered for myself, it turned up with three pieces on toasted bread with pieces of satsuma on top. My wife ate 2 of them! What I had was absolutely delicious! I then had the brill and cod fishcake which was okay. Only comment was brill was too dry, but tasted lovely. My wife had Sunday roast with rump option. She cleared her plate and said best meal she had had for a while - and she's a great cook and knows her food! Overall, a fabulous experience. We'll be back again.

Amazing experience celebrating a special occasion at Ember. Food was absolutely incredible, great atmosphere, super friendly staff & finished off with cocktails in the lovely bar downstairs. Can’t recommend enough 👏🏼

Had a fantastic meal at Ember. Food is outstanding, couldn’t recommend the steak more and don’t sleep on the carrots! Sam was a fantastic waitress - extremely attentive - thank you for an amazing time - we will be back!

The perfect evening! The decor and live vinyl music from the DJ made for a great atmosphere. The wine was lovely, and the food was incredible. I love the social dining concept, we shared many small plates and desserts - you have to try the burnt leek and labneh, garlic and laffa bread. To top it all off, our waitress Emily was super welcoming and always on hand for whatever we needed! Thanks for a lovely evening Ember

Great night last night at Ember’s opening. The food and wine were delicious, presented beautifully, with a warm welcome, it brings a London vibe to Hertford. Great place for a special night out.

We had the chateaubriand roast on Sunday it was absolutely delicious we shared between two although easy enough for three, it was sublime the best roast dinner we’ve ever had. Such lovely decor, chilled background music and service was so good just what we needed. We’ve already booked again.

Possibly the best food I’ve had in Hertford (and I live here) Simple but well put together food, reasonably priced in a a beautiful restaurant with fantastic music. The labneh is a must try, artichoke pie delicious, carrots and sprouts were well matched with hazelnuts and pancetta. I’m so happy to had a great new local addition.

Exquisite food, and great vibe with the sharing platters (small and large) and the live vinyl Dj mixing music alongside the open bar and kitchen. The sharing beef rib and roasted pumpkin sides are a must! The downstairs cocktail bar also made for a great aperitif (or would be perfect for a celebration / corporate event!)
