We normally LOVE Ember and have dined here often. It is one of our "go to" places for a nice dinner, whether we are eating the BBQ or just going for some sushi and appetizers. However, this is a review and critique of ONLY two dishes on the menu, the Korean Wings and the Ember Nachos, both in the appetizer section. Unfortunately, both of these dishes proved to be in our opinion the antithesis of Ember's usual ethic of "clean, bright flavors". The wings were highly disappointing inasmuch as the were not nearly as crispy as the one you might find at most anywhere is California (Von's for example), and they were absolutely drenched in a cloying, sticky, and sweet sauce that just overwhelmed any sort of chicken-y goodness that might have been underneath. We tried wiping off as much sauce as possible and that helped a bit, but didn't make them good. The Ember Nachos with a "chorizo queso" sounded great on paper, but again the sauce proved to be the dish's undoing with a heavy, muddled flavor that drowned out everything else on the plate. If you are thinking about a nacho-type appetizer, we highly recommend going with the Japanese Nachos which feature sashimi and they are FANTASTIC. In conclusion, we LOVE Ember and will be back, but will avoid these two dishes in the future.

We had a very difficult time with the hot pot….the griddle wasn’t getting hot. We had multiple people look at it but not once did the manager come over……we ate, paid and left…..probably not going back !

This was our 1st visit and the two of us shared 2 Poseidon’s snack, 12 PEI oysters, hand cut fries cheez’d & truffled, king of the sea roll, chicken karaage, and a wagyu smash burger. Finished with a cup of yuzu ice cream. Everything was perfect and next visit will order steaks

Wonderful authentic Korean barbecue. The owners are native Koreans and make all the sides in house as well as have their own in house butcher shop. The bulgogi was lean and very flavorful. The authentic sides were outstanding. The bibimbap was a huge serving full of bulgogi. Miranda was an excellent waitress, explaining everything and cooking the first serving of the bulgogi. She kept tabs on us frequently but was never intrusive. If you ware ever in Ft. Meyers and crave real Korean food, this is the place to go.
