I was very excited at the opportunity to have high tra at this restaurant but it didn't turn out so good. First I ruined my shoes b/c it had been previously raining, and their concrete steps were under water. First I could access them because there was a car parked right in front of them. Had to step on grass before reaching the side walk and my shoes got covered in mud. I asked for a towel to try to wipe them and it took two requests from two different people to get a towel. She shoes are ruined now. Next surprise. No sugar in sugar bowl. We were told it was filled with sugar cubes. Next one of the cups was cracked and was leaking One of the forks was bent. Finally the sauce to cover bread pudding was Sabayon, but we were told it was eggnog. Very disappointing. Otherwise the place looks nice but disregard to these simple details made it a bad experience. No one really cared about my shoes.

Restaurant is nice. Service was VERY slow. Took 2 hours and 15 mins for the tea service. I prefer a traditional tea menu although this was a Holiday menu so it was fun. Great selection of teas. It was nice to try once.

My sister and I arrived on time for our 3 pm reservation. We were told we would have a 15 wait for our table. A man who may have been the manager told us that,”…several tables had been seated for 3 hours and are not leaving…” We were asked if we wanted to sit outdoors on the patio as we would be seated sooner. We declined. It was sprinkling heavily. Around 3:30 pm we were seated. There was a lengthy process of explaining the menu (which is printed). We were asked to order tea. We chose chamomile lavender. After about 10 minutes a pot of warm water that had an essence of lavender was brought to the table. Another 15 minutes passed and no food was served. We decided to leave. During our time at the table several servers dropped dishes or cups/ glasses. The staff appeared overwhelmed. I did t see one table of guests eating anything. A table of six women appeared to have completed their tea but continued to occupy a large table (8 people could be seated there) to paint what appeared to be coffee mugs. They were using markers. The restaurant is extremely loud. The staff is unprofessional and management doesn’t know how to manage. Do not attempt to dine at the restaurant. Horrible all the way around.

This was for Brunch: The food was good - no complaints there but very pricey for what you get, and in comparison to other nice restaurants. Service - started out really shaky - we sat for 25 minutes with no one stopping by our table at all. Once we got service, it was pretty good. However, I ordered tea with my meal and my husband's food and drink came before my meal and tea. They are limited to how much tea they can steep at once apparently. That probably needs to be improved. The tea doesn't stay very hot either. I'm not sure how the St Regis manages to keep their tea hot, but they manage. I will stick to high tea at St Regis based on what I observed today (although we did not have the high tea service, just the tea). The short stack of pancakes does not come with jam or syrup so go ahead and ask for it when you order to keep from waiting 5 minutes to eat your food. I saw this comment mentioned in Yelp reviews. They should probably rethink that offering. My food wasn't at the table yet so my husband would have waited anyway. Ambiance - Looks great but is super loud. The worst for me is there are these big cushioned chairs that are too short for the tables. The wicker backed chairs are fine but if you get in the big, cushy chairs and you are short, you will have a very difficult time eating. Very expensive place, too. Not a castastrophe by any means, but we won't be back.

The service needs a lot of work. It’s was over 30mins before we got our drinks (water and tea). Had to ask for everything from sugar to salt and pepper. It took the food so long to come. We would have ordered dessert but didn’t have time before we needed to leave.

The food and tea service were great! Timing of the courses was a little off but our waiter did apologize and explained it. Would definitely go back as it was such a nice experience.

I am a real tea person. I have been to afternoon tea in England, New York, Houston and Morocco. I always enjoy the experience . Food and overall experience was a C at best . Admittedly, I took a pastry chef with me.. We both agreed that the sandwiches were too big and had no flavor , The scones were too big, clotted cream was just butter, desserts too big and not tasty . Scones were like biscuits and did not have the right texture for scones. The tea selection was very good. The atmosphere was lovely. Valet parking was difficult. I wouldn’t go back.

Emma Jane is that perfect something special! We enjoyed an incredible charcuterie board and the best shoe string fries I’ve ever come across. Service and ambience was excellent, can’t wait to come back!
