   We had an unfortunate experience at Enchanted Forest last night. It started with being seated at a high-top, and not at a table in the back, as requested. It took some time just to get drinks although our order got taken quite quickly. Unfortunately, our soup and salad arrived with our entree. Apparently our server was behind so everything got delivered at the same time. We don’t know how long things had been sitting, but between sitting on our table and sitting waiting to be picked up, veggies were ice cold and the rest of the food lukewarm. Our server did admit to it being because she was behind and she graciously listened to my concerns and gave us a free dessert. We will give them a second chance.

   Really unique experience. The decor is adorable and the staff were friendly. It’s expensive so it’s not a going to be a regular place for me but a couple times a year for sure. The food was delish! Located in the cute downtown of Placerville.

   It was fun and we enjoyed watching the young kids get excited. The blackberry key lime pie was amazing.

   This was our second time eating at this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint at all. The food was excellent. The whiskey shrimp appetizer is awesome . Service could have been a bit better by refilling our water and ice tea , but atmosphere made up for it.

   This is the 2nd time we've dined at Enchanted Forest. The first time one out of three of us received a good meal (short ribs for $39). Crepes -nit good. They were dry and resembled a quesadilla, no moist tender "pancake" rolled around saucy chicken. Even the scallops were dry. So, another chance... I love a good pasty, having several good pasty shops in my hometown. The Shepard's pie pasty had a light and flaky crust, but the filling was too strong with some unpleasant seasoning. Couldn't eat the whole thing. The portabello mushroom was buried in sauce, although the lentils were good. Once again, overly seasoned, and could not be finished. Another person in our party tried the mushroom crepe, despite my warning of tough folded crepe. This diner concurred that the edges of the crepe were "crispy dry" and that the sauce was "too lemony " No third time's a charm here. Too expensive for overly seasoned food that no one can finish.

    Loved the ambiance, started with a lite up head piece and drinks. The cheese fondue was really good. It was definitely an experience not just a meal.
