What a lovely find. Food was exceptional. The service was really good largely due to the wonderful staff. I think it was quiet due to the virus, but that suited us on the night. I imagine it is busy in normal times because anyone who has been there before would surely go back. I will certainly be back perhaps during the summer when the tables outside would be a real treat

Overall the dining experience felt average, service was not memorable, wine was good , the board of slice meat at £16 was described as “served with a pile of bread” but it arrived with 3 small pieces of focaccia bread, so we had to order a basket of bread for additional charge, the meat was of a good quality though. Food and drinks were overpriced vs quality/size portion.

The staff here were great and dealt well with a varied group with different requirements. The food was really good and value for money, which was an important element. The garlic bread for the table was really good portion and very tasty. The decor is fresh and friendly. I was impressed and will certainly go again. My only ask is that there might be the possibility of smaller portions available for those with less appetite. I had the carbonara which tasted wonderful but half had to be thrown away as it was just to big for me.

I had been to the St Paul's branch near Bow St earlier in the month and that menu was much more varied than this, all a bit pasta and sauce. I know that it is Christmas party season but drinks were regularly delivered to the wrong table, we were told that the selected wine had run out (it hadn't), and one of our meals was 10 minutes behind everyone else. Ambience was great though so we still had a great night, I just expected more considering prior experience.

The food never disappoints! Especially love the Aubergine Parmigiana and the Quattro Formaggi Pizza. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Business lunch on a Monday. VERY quiet (3 tables only) and all patrons were seated in direct line with the front door meaning every time it was opened we all got hit with cold air. They initially sat us in the first table near the door, despite the restaurant basically been empty. We asked to move 5 min later. The general feel of the restaurant was not good and ambiance non existent. Waiter was Very aloof and with the combination of his accent and soft voice neither I nor my guest could hear him very well. As we only had a hour we opted for mains only (no starters), each ordering a mains serving of the Pappardelle beef ragout. The food was delicious and served very quickly but the size was very small! So much so that we were both still hungry and ended up ordering some bread and a Burrata and tomato salad. We also had 3 glasses of the Valpolicella. Total bill came to £81, certainly more than i thought it was worth when taking into account the above.

We loved the personality of this place and the team that run it. The welcome and service were fantastic and personal and the food was excellent. I will definitely return in January when I'm working in the area again.

The food was delicious. The service was just right not too fussy but attentive when we needed it. The only criticism was the tables were quite close together

Food was terrible, bland, and cold. Would not recommend. They also charged for parmesan!! Outrageous

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience but you've left off one or two details. You asked for "extra fresh chilli and fresh garlic" when you ordered your pasta - perhaps you find most food "bland"? The food came straight from the pan but we heated it up further when you asked. You asked for extra Parmesan, and then you asked for another portion of Parmesan, and then a third portion - and at this point the manager added £1 to your bill, which is less than the cost of the cheese you ate.
